“We need to prevent these stolen firearms from falling into the hands of felons, gang members and juveniles

I guess the police chief is afraid the ATF guys might get the guns before his own officers do.

Huh ! If the perps were not local-or at least known to the management of Bargain Barn, why were they masked ?

Quick math, assuming the guns were cheap, say $500/GUN the total comes to: $20,000

Another way to avoid being on a confiscation list?

“Right now, we’re in the early stages of the investigation,” Marc Jackson, spokesman for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

ATF college grads are on the case! (”We suspect foul play ...”)

ATF will be all over these guys. There was a smash and grab here in a little store in Maine, and the ATF grabbed the guys three weeks later in New York.

Parents of a friend of ours just had a break in last week and had their van, cash and his dad’s .38 Special and a shotgun that was under the bed stolen. He thinks the cops will trace the serial numbers on the guns and he’ll get them back. I said, “Fat chance. Those guns are probably on their way to New York or LA by now. You’ll never see them again.”

Same store that burned to the ground three or four years back. Rumor on the street at the time was that a bunch of the guns were un-accounted for and that the fire was cover.
........Very interesting. Why were the firearms not secured?

Sheesh...idiots. Ten to one they’re not raising an army, so they’ll be selling these things soon and “stupid is as stupid does”, and they’ll end up like the morons who “plotted” to assassinate Obama. Ya know...these guys give natural selection some real credibility!
