I bought my first rifle last weekend.
You bought a gun from the mobs?
Here, there was a huge turnout for a sale on Ar-15s and others, but I don't really see the regular-priced stuff moving all that quickly.
My husband and I have a home-based FFL (see signature). Our first panic buyer called three minutes into McCain’s concession speech, and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing since. We’ve done more business since the election than in the prior six months.
A LOT of gun owners are buying more guns.
Many of us are purchasing certain types of weapons which we have been meaning to get around to getting since the last “assault weapons” ban went away, but which will be unavailable after the new “assualt weapons” ban goes into effect in the next year or so.
“Come and take them!”
Thats your translation.
He’s not taking mine away, I may have to bury most of them somewhere for a while, but I’ll still have em.
I’m not a gun savvy person but I think if one wants to get guns badly enough, one can find a reason for it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an attempt to require everyone to disclose possession of guns and then use that requirement to justify a search if they suspect guns were not reported. I know that seems far-fetched but too many people seem to believe whatever the nice government tells them to believe. The Second Amendment has been trashed for decades now and a lot of people now believe it protects only state militias rather than individual rights.
I would hope the dealers would “lose” the records. Perhaps a little selective fire or flood damage?
I have a North Korean AK-47. I’m not worried about “them” taking it away—they’ll just think I’m part of Obama’s Civil Defense Corps....;^)
He means it. He won't be the one doing it. His minions will. At least, they'll try.
Any truth to the rumor that he's going to push for ammo that becomes inert in just a few years to prevent stockpiling?
I didn’t type “I bought one from the mobs for my own protection”. I typed “I bought one for my own protection from the mobs.” See the difference? If I’m incorrect, write it the correct way.
Not without heavy attrition...
LOL Hope that doesn’t get us investigated by the FBI. I would hope the rank and file of ATF agents would support gun rights, actually.
Join the NRA.
I signed up both myself and my fiancee in the past couple of days.
The NRA will need all of the support they can get to fight off the coming laws.
Did one of the commenters (”Johnathan L. Abbinett”) in the linked article admit that he: (1) volunteered for Obama; (2) voted for Obama; yet (3) is stocking up on assault-style weaponry? W-T-F?
Not only that, but he says: “We know the radical, left-wing, looney tunes don’t get...What these people do not understand is that many politicians prefer unarmed peasants!”
AND HE VOTED FOR OBAMA?!
Some people need to get hit upside the head with the “clue bat”.
Sheesh....
Folks, buying guns and ammo is not enough!
We have got to organize into a group, that group with the strongest voice is the NRA. You might say,” I’m already a member”. Then I ask you is your wife? husband? grown children? parents?
Take the money that you would spend on ammo, one box would buy a membership for someone. There is power in numbers.
