FRANKEN 'FIXES' STALK SENATE RACE
New York Post ^ | Thursday, November 13, 2008 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Posted on 11/14/2008 10:39:30 AM PST by JohnRLott

IF Al Franken wins his Minnesota race, Democrats will get at least 58 US senators, giving them an effectively filibuster-proof majority.

When Franken woke up on the day after the election, his GOP opponent, Sen. Norm Coleman, led by what seemed a relatively comfortable 725 votes. By that night, Coleman's lead had shrunk to 477. By Thursday, it was 336. Friday, 239.

By late Sunday, the difference had gone to just 221. When counties finally certified the results on Monday, Coleman's lead had been cut to 206.

A pickup of 519 votes over 5 days - pretty impressive when you consider this was just from the correction of typos. A recount won't even start until Nov. 19.

Yet, the particular changes are unlikely to have occurred by accident.

Corrections were posted in other races, but they were only a fraction of those for the Senate race. The Senate gains for Franken were 2.2 times the gain from corrections for Barack Obama, 2.7 times the gain Democrats got across all Minnesota congressional races and 5.6 times the net loss that Democrats suffered for all state House races.

In total, the 519 net pro-Franken corrections were greater than the total changes for all precincts in the state for the presidential race, all congressional races and all state House races combined. . . .

He’s learned well from algore’s Florida vote count from 04. If at first you don’t succeed, count, and count again. Shudder, to think he might actually keep counting till he wins.

Cheating, lying and stealing to win elections is perfectly ethical, if it's done to advance a worthy cause.

Another re-count and Franken could win with a MANDATE...

At the rate he's going he'll win unanimously!

“Where is the RNC?
Where is John MeCain?

Where is President Bush?

Where are our US Senators?

Where are our US Representatives?”

After the last few years why would you expect them to start showing any balls now?

This probably could have been avoided if Coleman hadn't pulled the "I'm taking down all negative ads" asininity.

Putting the temptation to cheat in front of democrats is like putting a drink in front of a non reformed alcoholic.

>>This guy will be a major embarassment to the Party if he gets in the Senate. I bet they are cringing over this. He’s a big mouth with a bad temper.<<

Video of Dem Minn. Sec. of State saying Coleman would do "anything to win," then denying he said it.

Video link, contradictory statements start about 1:04

Could this be proof of the idea "God moves in mysterious ways?" Maybe Franken will be elected and be such an a**hole in the senate that he will hurt the Dems.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," saith the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Isaiah 55: 8-9

Also, Coleman is not what I consider a conservative. Didn't he initially vote for amnesty last year and then switch when he saw what was happening?

Minn has long been the home of the ACP. These are long fingers that reach deep into local wards.
It is not by chance that the most despicable candidate for Senator and a presidential candidate who is both unqualified and an enemy of the Constitution are preparing to take over the country and abolish all opposition.
Dark days lie ahead. The fellowship of the ring must survive.

There just isn't any Republican Leadership Anywhere!

Agreed. They're too busy attending cocktail parties.

Al Franken a United States senator. What utter fools we’ve become that such a thing is remotely possible. Minnesota you are in freaking sane.

I don't understand Minnesotans! Surely they could have found a better candidate than Al Franken. He's a disgrace to the state, the nation, and to himself, but he's too arrogant and stupid to recognize it. Minnesotans should demand that Mark Ritchie recuse himself from being anywhere near the recount. The man has already proven himself to be dishonest when he made a remark, and then denied making it and it's on tape. What a louse, and besides that, he has worked for ACORN, and the FBI should make their report about that organization known sooner rather than later. We've got to stop Democrats from stealing and buying elections! I think Republicans should stand up for their rights and forget this silly malarkey about ‘being Mr. Nice Guy’ while the Democrats pummel them and try to steal the election.

The Senate considers themselves to be like the House of Lords. They are the royalty. Having a clown in the House of Lords would be a pill.

I can’t wait until they explain the expected behavior to a comedy writer.

“32 absentee ballots were discovered in Democratic Minneapolis under the control of a single Democratic election judge after all the votes had been counted”

1. Why on earth would we count votes which were so obviously out of the system of control?
2. Why isn’t this “judge” facing criminal charges for vote tampering/mishandling. That is the only this that will stop this kind of BS.

Also, Coleman is not what I consider a conservative.

That may be true, but at this point, we need all the help we can get to at least have a chance to check the Obomatrons in the Senate by holding a filibuster. Whether Coleman is a trueconservative™ or not, I'd rather have a chance with his vote, because it's sure as h*ll we're not going to get Franken's vote.

Having to chose between Norm Coleman and Al Franken says everything about the state of Conservatism today.

Were these “corrections” net figures - ie after Coleman’s votes were subtracted from Franken’s OR were these ALL just Franken’s additional votes??

Also have these “extras” been segregated or just thrown into the pile with all the rest where they cannot be as easily identified and checked?

Can we find this out NOW? And are there Coleman watchers “on the job?”

Right now the main thing is to do our best to stop The Obominable One from steamrolling us. That's the best we're going to do in the Senate for the next two years. If Coleman will help us do that, then I'm for him, because Frankenputz sure as hell won't.

We need to put aside this sniping on the trueconservative™ crap and fight the real enemy. The barbarians have breached the gates and are sweeping through the city. If we spend our time fighting each other over who is the trueconservative™, the barbarians are going to slaughter us all, trueconservative™ and ersatz trueconservative™ alike.

The meek inherit whatever scraps the strong leave behind. The RATS are an aggressive, activist, and power hungry species who take what they want. Republicans are feeble pacifists who would rather sucumb than “make trouble”. We need to get in their faces, knock a few heads, invade their “churches” and show them we cant be pushed around. Odds of that happening, 0%.
