But Rove even jokingly offering himself up, with conditions or not, suggests she’s a horse he wouldn’t mind riding in the next race, so to speak.

Doing the Pygmalian thing with Sarah on foreign policy may be easier than tutoring Jindal on charisma or Romney on character.

Agreed. Conservative philosophy and conviction is what we need. We DO NOT NEED Karl pontificating endlessly when he has not an iota of credibility, having lost the popular vote in 2000, barely beat John F’ing in 2004, and lost the Congress in 2006. He also was fundamentally wrong in his decisions to support Arlen Specter and a host of other RINO’s.

I think if we believe in her enough....and I do until she gives me reason not to, that we can defend her from the enemy media.

We and she just have to be clear about what level of enemy the media has now risen to, it’s unprecedented since probably Hearst’s glory days over 100 years ago.

folks forget the media hated Reagan too and calle him lightweight, dumb, falling asleep, dementia and so forth

he prevailed and they lightened up over time and had to accept hism legacy

Sarah is no Quayle, she has a spirit seldom seen.

Hey, I am the last guy to go ape over a woman politician....I hate gender and race picks but for her I’m making an exception.

She’s inspiring.

Also, the text of the article actually doesn’t have Edwards and Rove agreeing on Palin: Edwards had said she was exposed for her lack of knowledge in the debate and that hurt the ticket, while Rove said her knowledge level was fine for veep, but she’ll have to bone up for running as president in ‘12. That’s two different perspectives.

Finally, Rove is lucky if handcuffs are they only way they say hello in SF.

Surely this is a joke, Biden is probably the most inept politician in DC, with the possible exception of .....on second thought can't think of another. His constituents must be a real brain trust.

I'd like her to retain the qualities that she already has, but then ADD some, like a good knowledge of economics and foreign policy

That's actually an insult to suggest that she doesn't already have "a good knowledge of economics and foreign policy". As a VP nominee, it's not her job to tout her own knowledge, policies, etc., it was to boost the top of the ticket.

If Sarah wants to raise her game, she should study the life and political style of Mrs. Thatcher.

“If Palin’s going to win she’s going to have to look at the successful Reagan campaigns for clues on how to win Democrats and independents over to a conservative agenda.”

Sarah surely has to learn the ropes, but just remember, Obama is social worker with a law degree. With luck, we’ll be no worse off than with Jimmy Carter, remember that mess?

Carter brought us Regan, Obama can bring us someone who takes the party to the next level. If the Republicans run a true conservative, they will win. McCain was NOT a conservative, he was a compromising liberal.

WAS?? He's meeting with Obama shortly. Wonder what the two of them have in store for US.
