It is tedious, a twice-told tale. I subscribed to the AIM Report back during the Carter Administration, but let my subscription lapse because I was convinced. All each issue was was one more example of media bias piled on an already heaping pile. At some point the only thing that matters is not whether by why - and what can be done about it?
And you are familiar with my vanity post, The Right to Know, which is the result to date of my examination of those questions.

“I view it as perhaps the central issue of our time, as the mainstream media is so distorting the political world and so deceiving the public that it is actually in the process of destroying our democratic institutions.”
And until we address that situation, it’s only going to be more of the same.

I wonder if Obama will be as generous as the clintons in feting his friends?”
I don’t think Muslims party alot, and since they abhor alcohol, the MSM will not be very inclined to go where they cannot indulge in fine food and lots of drinks.
But- they did drink the Kool Aid for almost 2 years of the campaign, so maybe Kool Aid will be the drink of choice at NObama fetes.

the Internet revolution wasn't responsible for electing Mr. ObamaWell it sure played a part...
I signed up for both campaigns. The daily emails from Dem candidates were energising and exciting. McCains emails were pessimistic and angry.
Two emails from Oct 29:
To the McCain Community:
Barack Obama and Joe Biden have consistently lied to Americans about John McCain's plan. Their claims have failed every fact check from CBS to the Washington Post. John McCain is not going to raise taxes on middle class families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the only ones in this race that plan to raise taxes. Their recent attacks have become increasingly misleading. Read the fact sheet below or click here to learn the truth about the McCain-Palin Health Care Plan.
Sincerely,
Doug Holtz-Eakin
Senior Policy Advisor
McCain-Palin 2008
Dear Friend,
Let's get right to it. With one week before Election Day, these three great members of Congress need your help right now.
Kirsten Gillibrand was one of the earliest volunteers in my first race for the Senate back in 2000 helping to organize Women for Hillary. In 2006, she unseated a Republican incumbent in upstate New York; now she faces a tough campaign in her first reelection.
Pennsylvania's Paul Kanjorski is facing a barrage of negative attacks from Republicans desperate to win his seat. He's a great friend who works hard on behalf of the people in his district; now he needs our help.
And Joe Sestak -- also from Pennsylvania -- is a retired admiral who worked in the White House during Bill's administration. Like Kirsten, he defeated a Republican in 2006, and we need to make sure he wins his race this year so he can continue to speak out for sensible national security policies on behalf of the men and women of our armed forces.
These three friends have been on the front lines fighting for us, and with Barack Obama in the White House they can help put America back on the right path.
...
I'm so proud to have had the opportunity to work with you, and I know that your friendship and support will continue to make a difference for me and for America in the years to come.
Thank you so much,
Hillary

Sarah was absolutely right. Obama does not see America as she and the honorable people of America see their country. While Sarah and her supporters’ reverence for their country is seen as naive and inviolable, Obama and his supporters see America as flawed, its masses stupid and its agenda worthy of any distortion, lie, fraud, or ruthless and authoritarian exercise of power. Unfortunately ruthlessless beats naivety every time.

Oh yeah — I left out the Acorn/Academia contribution in kind. Value around 1.5 billion. Thanks for reminding me — when I first did this back of the envelope calculation I now remember that I had Obama at $6 Billion. Great minds think alike and all that.

Frightening to see happening but no shock to any conservative who saw the events firsthand. We all know how outrageous and dangerous Obama and the DemocRATs are but now we must act! We must keep up with the legislative bodies in DC, too much is accomplished with hidden agendas and votes. It is up to us to see which laws are being proposed and covered up by the leftists, we expose them, we fight against them with e-mails, mass protestation in the form of phone calls, this has worked before and the Pravda arm was unable to do a thing about it. No time left for pity-partys, the time to act is now.

If GWB could have simply talked more on a PERSONAL level instead of playing it so close to the cuff all the time, CONNECTING with Americans, then we might not be in this mess. I can’t blame it all on Bush. The press shares more of the blame. I think he’s a good man and did some great things but as a communicator he sucked so badly that it left the door wide open for the propagandist manipulators on the left.
