Right Wing News emailed more than 240 right-of-center bloggers and asked them to send us a list of whom they considered to be their "Least Favorite People On The Right." Representatives from the following 46 blogs responded...
The Anchoress, AtlanticBlog, Axis of Right, BizzyBlog, Blonde Sagacity, Bookworm Room, Bull Moose Strikes Back, The Chronicles Of A Rogue Jew, Conservatism Today, Conservative Compendium, Conservative Grapevine, Conservative Punk, Copious Dissent, Dispatches from Blogblivion, Doubleplusundead, Fraters Libertas, Gateway Pundit, Girl On The Right, House of Eratosthenes, Paul Ibrahim, Jihad Watch, Keepin' It Rural, Likelihood of Success, Lotus Blog, Rachel Lucas, Mean Ol' Meany , Mere Rhetoric, Midnight Blue, Moonbattery, Mount Virtus, mountaineer musings, My Aisling, Neo-Neocon, Patriot Room, Pirate's Cove, Pirates Man Your Women!, The Rougblog, Josh Schroeder, Don Singleton, Sister Toldjah, Southern Appeal, dcthornton.com, The Virtuous Republic, WILLisms, Wolking's World, Word Around the Net
All bloggers were allowed to make anywhere from 1-12 unranked selections and were allowed to choose anybody on the right or generally perceived to be on the right that they liked: Republican, Conservative, Libertarian, politician, preacher, blogger, columnist, radio host, you name it!
The field was wide open with some exceptions that I didn't want to clutter up the list with since they have absolutely no support in the party or are in jail: David Duke, Fred Phelps, Duke Cunningham, & Jack Abramhoff. Since the scorn for them in the GOP is pretty much universal, there was no point in adding them in.
Without further ado, here are the right-of-center bloggers' least favorite people on the right with the number of votes beside of each selection in parentheses:
25) "McCain Staffers" (5)
25) Mitch McConnell (5)
25) Hank Paulson (5)
24) Scott McCellan (6)
21) George Bush (7) 21) Lincoln Chafee (7)
21) Mitt Romney (7)
20) Olympia Snowe (8)
16) Ann Coulter (9)
16) Bill O'Reilly (9)
16) Andrew Sullivan (9)
16) George Will (9)
13) Christopher Buckley (10)
13) Kathleen Parker (10)
13) Michael Savage (10)
11) David Brooks (11)
11) Lindsay Graham (11)
10) Arnold Schwarzenegger (12)
7) Mike Huckabee (13)
7) Pat Buchanan (13)
7) Ron Paul (13)
6) Chuck Hagel (14)
5) Arlen Specter (15)
4) Colin Powell (17)
3) Peggy Noonan (18)
2) Ted Stevens (19)
1) John McCain (25)
Ann Coulter and Michael Savage don't belong on this list.
You might not like the way they present the truth but at least they're right on...
This one depends on which bipolar swing of the day he is on. Some days I can take him. Some days he honestly sounds like he needs locking up.
See #5. Theres a list of the bloggers in question provided, if youre genuinely curious.
Thompson was my favorite pick for President, but never put in the effort. He was never a viable candidate because he didn't really want the job. Better to eliminate him early. That left a pitiful field, and Romney was the least pitiful of the bunch.
That's the one.
surprised bush isnt higher. the man along with his cronies single handedly torpedoed the republican party and gave us president obama and liberal supermajorities in congress.
I have only two problems with this list, otherwise it is probably accurate.
Ann Coulter should not be on the list and Mitt Romney should not be on the list.
One out of five conservative blogger is so jealous of Ann’s success that they want to tear her down.
Mitch McConnell???
I have a third problem with it: there’s no way to rate McCain higher than #1. ;)
You didn’t like Hunter better than Fredo? I thought he was slightly better.
No way should Ann be on such a list! But LOL at #1 (McCain)!
Poor campaigner or not, there was no sane reason for Ann trashing Fred the way she did. I wouldn’t have put Ann on this list, but I think that is likely the reason others did.
The fact that all three front runners for the Republican nomination last time (McCain, Hucabee, & Romney) made the list shows there is a problem with the Republican nominating process.
All three belonged on the list (imho), because none has a track record of enacting conservative ideas when they held office. In fact, when they held office, they all three enacted liberal ideas.
Going on what they actually did in office (not what they say) you would rate them:
Huckabee - least liberal
McCain
Romney - most liberal
Words mean nothing. What they do in office is all that counts.
they were all liberal, just in different ways.
Because he does a great job of making conservatives look like clueless, tin-foil hat wearing buffoons.
I challenge the conservative credentials of those who voted.
There are people on this list who aren’t even remotely conservative even though they are classified as “Republican”.
I guess the vote should have defined: Who annoys you from the conservative camp (Right) or Republican camp(moderates).
Not sure what, exactly, they were looking for.

Twice, no less! ;)
The only two bloggers I'm familiar with, from the list provided, are Sister Toldjah and the Anchoress; and they're absolutely both conservative. As to the others...? [::shrugs::]
