Geez, I could have sworn Obama's website said he was "pro-life". Maybe he just meant the poor saps that are on death row deserve to live.

Catholics, LDS, many Baptists and Evangelicals, and others, all fighting the good fight on this.
God grant that we may yet prevail, despite this set-back.

Here’s a thought, your Holinesses. Rather than “battle” an elected official who never pretended to be anything other than pro-abortion, persuade instead the voters who elected him. Many of them are among your own congregants.

If the Catholic church cannot convince it's own parishioners, how do they expect to convince someone who is not one?
Your Holiness, clean your house. That house will, in turn, clean the government with it's VOTE.

Someday ,very soon, there’s going to be a modern day Thomas More who is going to be dispatched by the coming socialist/secularist regime.

My aughter and her family live in NY. My oldest grandson is about 15 and his public school spent a lot of time on the eelction. Most of the kids were for Obama, but he studied all the issues, watched all the debates and came out for McCain for his experience and service. I asked my daughter about McCains pro life views vs. Obama’s pro death views (what I considered the most important issue). Her answer: “We didn’t hear anything about that in NY. The only information that I got about that were some emails from you.”
This family is Catholic and attends their parish church weekly + Cathechism classes. This is a sad state of affairs.
This nation was tested on Nov. 4, and we failed.

The 36th Annual March For Life will take place on Thursday, January 22,2009 at noon on the Mall. It will be just two days after O takes over. I think this march will be one of the biggest.

Didn't over 70% of the Catholics support Obama? Why didn't the Vatican speak out against Obama before he was elected? He has never denied he was PRO ABORTION, were these people actually mesmerized, on drugs or did they all of a sudden get a huge dose of reality? Good Heavens!

As a Catholic I can understand the frustration from those who are replying to this post who are not Catholic. Pro-life for me is the deciding factor in a candidate as all other issues fall after this “Choice”. You can not pretend to care for the poor or the sick if you do not care for them before they became that way. Do I wish the Church would speak more feverently against this horror....yes!!! I do however look at this a bit differently, in that now is the time to stand up and be heard, teach and engage in this from our homes to the capital and the Church is finally speaking out and taking the lead on this. If not now when? If not you then who?

My motto is “Abortion will continue to be legal and practiced in this Country as long as “Christians” continue to VOTE for it!” They are a large enough voting block to make a difference in the elections. But they, including some members of my family, insist on voting democrat regardless of the stance on butchering the unborn. They claim to be “born again”, yet won’t grant others the chance to be born the first time.

If the bishops had been doing their jobs for the last 40 years, we wouldn’t have had a generation of Catholic voters thinking it was okay to vote for someone like Obama.
