Opinions aside, Olbermann is simply wrong factually about Prop 8 when he says it took away SUBSTANTIVE rights. It did not. Prop 8 simply changes the name back to “civil unions,” where it was prior to SCOCA’s controversial decision this summer. Couples in “civil unions” still have full equality with “married” couples in the eyes of state law (adoptions, benefits, etc.)
