According to my sources, the Bush administration issued a 72-hour cease-and-desist order to all fugitive apprehension teams to spare Obama embarrassment over his Kenyan half-aunt, Zeituni Onyango.

Well, Malkin is resorting to "anonymous sources," but she claims she is getting the same info from multiple inside sources.

The claim is that Bush halted ALL fugitive apprehensions, and that would include terrorists. If this is true, how do we explain Bush's motivations? Did Obama take control of Bush's mind? Make him an offer he can't refuse?

Her getting busted right before the election would have hurt Bush (and therefor McCain) a lot more than it would hurt THe One. Bush probably did the right thing in that sense.

This is crazy, because it basically says that if you’re in a good enough position (politically, financially or socially), you can get the law changed (as far as how it applies to you and your friends and relatives) and have it work in your favor.

But, anyone else, who is “not the One” (and there are other “Ones” out there, too...), they all get treated like the criminals that they are. Only the “enlightened ones” get special favor.

And Bush continues that kind of thinking. Bush is definitely disappointing in certain aspects of his actions and policies...

If this is true, how do we explain Bush's motivations?

Arresting Obama's ilegal ali-aunt on the eve of the election (for something millions of others are allowed to get away with) would have looked like a real cheap shot. As Ross Perot intimated, everybody can relate to the challenge of keeping a crazy aunt in basement.
