The Constitution Party left me when they joined whole hog in Bush Bashing, and turned suddenly anti-Iraq war. All one has to do is read a few columns written by Robert Scheer and you will have the sense of today’s Constitution Party. They are a one message party having been taken over by the most radical of anti-abortion folks.

Lest someone get the mistaken idea I am not pro life, I come from a state that in four years has twice had a ballot initiative to ban the practice. I voted both times for the initiative which lost approximately 60/40 both times. IMHO the Constitution Party is off the deep end.

Ok, then lets take it over and dedicate it to the constitution. It would be a lesser effort than changing the blue bloods that have control of the Republican party, and we might get some of those who passed prop 8, but wouldn't vote for the "elite rich guy" party of Republicans.

I know it isn't fair to brand the Republicans as the party of rich, elite white guys, but, that is what has happened.

Would it not be easier just to start a new party and cut off the cancerous tissue?
