The family money is invested. How is it taxed compared with earned income, those “making over 250,000?”

The very rich have many ways to avoid paying taxes, especially the very rich who own businesses. The people who are going to get screwed by this tax increase are the so-called "working rich"- such as me and my wife. These are people who work for an employer and have few, if any, ways to protect their income from taxes.

May their wealth disintegrate — starting with Buffet the buffoon.

I used to admire Buffett, now I consider him living proof that one can be a genius at investments but an idiot politically.

“You described a defeat, not a sweep. I guess if it had been a sweep you would be on suicide watch.”

A “sweep” in American election jargon means taking the White House and both Houses of Congress.

They had both houses of Congress already. 163 electoral votes is not good by any definition, but niether is it a sweep.

If a baseball team wins both games of a doubleheader it doesn’t matter if they win both games by one run or ten, its still a “sweep.”
Getting control of both Houses of Congress and the White House in a single general election has always been considered a “sweep” of the election. Adding seats in both houses to your majority makes it even more of a sweep.

Yep! They will not be paying more taxes and our “middle class” will end up paying it with our 401K’S and who knows what else. The excuse will be...”We did not know how bad it was until we got into office, sorry but your screwed!”

More of a sweep must mean it’s a sweeper. Call it what you want. Barack Obama’s election was not and never will be a sweep.

A deadly combination of white guilt, BDS and throw in a large helping of elitism and you have the reason these voters supported BO.

But I like voting!

I say a general and political intelligence test should be required.

One question alone would’ve done it this year... “Which party is in control of Congress ?” I guarantee you a majority will have said “Republican.” INSTANT disqualification.
