This reminds me of that old Lenin quote about capitalists being willing to sell the rope by which they would be hanged, or something to that effect.

They won’t be affluent for long, if BHO fulfills his promises.

Affluent now...wait 4 years.
I also think the voting age should be 21 (unless serving in the military)

some of them, especially the hollywood types, have so much money (made from such meaningless work) that they can afford to maintain their lifestyle even with high taxes.

The value of the dollar has dropped steadily over the years, so it’s not clear to me that a larger number of people making over $100K means than much.

No. The rich are getting richer. Republicans are getting poorer.

While there has been some inflation over the past 12 years, the exit poll demographics show that the fastest growing group of voters in America has been those making over $100,000 a year in income. In 1996, only 9 percent of the electorate said their family income was that high. Last week it had grown to 26 percent more than one in four voters. And those making over $75,000 are up to 15 percent from 9 percent. Put another way, more than 40 percent of those voting earned over $75,000, making this the highest-income electorate in history. Of course. An oligarchy is never personally affected by a government’s redistributionist policies or cultural mandates.

The truly rich will be able to protect their wealth,
and they will be able to maintain their lifestyle.
Their pride also demands that others NOT be able to approach anything near their lifestyle,
and they know that socialist policies guarantee that gap.

My husband has very wealthy family members that are small business owners. They have such a severe case of Bush Derangement Syndrome that even though they knew Obama’s policies would hurt them they voted for him anyway. Pathetic!
