They may just be saying that they voted for Obama so as not to appear “racist”. Who really knows how they voted...?
What asses either way. Bless Larry’s heart!
as in Karl Marx
Doug is not the sharpest tool in the shed - I was surprised at his announcement but he is in the entertainment business and puts on a show people mistake for his beliefs. Everyone forgets it’s a show.
Al, well, Al is gay and the gay community voted O.
Very few in the entertainment business are having an honest discussion with you the audience.
Now you know the secret and pick your own discussion.
That audio clip is great. :)
The more I hear about Larry Elder the more thoroughly impressed by him. He’s a lot like Clarence Thomas, clinging to his principles no matter how painful.
His conversation with Doug McIntyre was riveting stuff. Can't listen to Al Rental. His 'sit on the fence' attitude he was proclaiming before the election turned me off.
Rantel was REALLY in the tank for Obama. McIntyre less so ... in fact, McIntyre said he voted for Obama to “teach the Repubs a lesson”. I consider that kind of excuse ignorant.
I’ve had it with both of them.
But Larry has been great this entire election season.
Since Doug has been getting more grating and less conservative, I am not as stunned by his defection. But he said he needed a mental health day and did not work Friday, after the shake-up with Mr. Elder.
I am more saddened by Al Rantel, because I have rarely disagreed with him. I feel he was bamboozled. Certainly many of us were not huge McCain fans before the nominees were chosen, but my dear G-d, I think McCain loves this country and knows how to defend it, and that is the main thing at this point. I haven’t seen much evidence that Obama even understands the point of the United States of America yet.
Not surprised. Rantel was telegraphing his pro-Nobama man crush way ahead of election day.
He’s talking about this thread right now!
Keep it up, Sage. I want Obama to succeed in defending our country; I want him to fail in transforming it.
Start posting here, Larry.
They don’t know Milton Friedman from Milton Berle. A great line.
I was at an event earlier this year when Larry spoke at the Reagan Library. There will come a day when he runs for office. I’m there, Sage.
Larry’s a good guy. I’ve listened to his show for years and agree with most of what he says. He was, however, against Prop. 8, from, I’m guessing, a purely libertarian viewpoint. I interviewed Rantel a few years back, and at that time he was very conservative and backed President Bush; I’ve heard him lately and he sounds much different.
Larry’s arguments with McIntyire is great radio. And Larry’s show is the only thing I’ve heard on KABC in months. He needs to bail KABC and go to KRLA and do their morning show 6am -9am.
