I have spent all day watching the Bishops’ conference on EWTN.

Cardinal George took statements from any bishop who wanted to speak; they were overwhelmingly pro-Life and concerned with getting out a very clear statement to the laity about abortion. The Bishop of Scranton hinted that the next step with the people like Pelosi and Biden was excommunication.

In addition, they also are continuing withholding any money from Acorn and have hired a forensic accountant to go over Acorn’s books.

It was pretty good stuff and not nearly as wishy-washy as this article makes it sound.

If there were going to be serious and strong statement to made here, the conference should have been held months ago. Too little/too late. I attend Mass every Sunday. I take up the collection as a small service. Until I get an answer from my Diocesan Stewardship Office on these funds that have gone to ACORN, I’m not going to do that anymore. My parish priest acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about and, sorry as I am to have to say this, I didn’t believe him. It does not shake my faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, but I may leave the Church over it.

Thank you for that report, Miss Marple. I have been so down about the Catholic vote. Your post gives me hope.

We must be the remnant and we must be a visible, outspoken remnant.

Too many of our Catholic children have had poor religious formation.
