Our lead has increased from 889 votes on Saturday to 1,092 votes Monday evening out of 318,384 counted, boosting our margin from 0.28 percent to 0.34 percent. We are receiving 50.17 percent of the votes counted and need 48.95 percent of the remaining 52,000 uncounted ballots. Better still, in every county our proportion of the vote is greater than election night, increasing our percentage margin by nearly 2.5 fold.

Any of them military ballots?
That would explain a bump for Coleman.

Did they find any more votes for Al Franken while they were at it?

Any of them military ballots? I know there are 250 uncounted military ballots in El Dorado County probably twice that in Placer County and handfuls elsewhere. For the most part those will be counted last.

As I understand it, the northern part of the district will favor Brown No the far north is good. It's just Nevada County where the hippies and counter-culture people all moved. They haven't historically voted much historically. But as a friend put it ACORN people came in this year and "pulled them down out of the trees." There was some labor activism up around Lake Tahoe where many of the casino employees from Nevada live.

Yes ElkGroveDan, I'm from Tahoe and South Lake Tahoe has a large liberal malcontent population that moved up here form the Bay Area. Nevada County has Nevada City, which is now filled with alternative types who are outnumbering the good native Republicans that grew up there. I have my hands full here in South Lake Tahoe, but I'm very vocal in countering the liberal gibberish that comes out of my local paper.

Looks like ACORN botched this particular race.
The reason the race is as close as it is is because many voters viewed Senator McClintock as a carpetbagger.

The 4th CD was targeted by the DNCC and acorn was doing raids on the absentees from the state of Nevada.

Tom should teach Norm Coleman how these things are done.

I’m so sorry that I didn’t see your thread already posted. I promise I did a search using most of the words in your title...just in a different order.

Can you refresh our memory again as to what office Tom McClintock is running for this time? I am in California and familiar with his name, but out of state readers may need more info.
The last I recall he was representing Ventura County in either the CA State Assembly or Senate.......

I dont even know why this district is competitive with a great conservative like McClintock running. Charlie Brown is an ass, and this is a VERY Republican district.
I believe there was some criticism of him for being a carpetbagger.
