Our lead has increased from 889 votes on Saturday to 1,092 votes Monday evening out of 318,384 counted, boosting our margin from 0.28 percent to 0.34 percent. We are receiving 50.17 percent of the votes counted and need 48.95 percent of the remaining 52,000 uncounted ballots. Better still, in every county our proportion of the vote is greater than election night, increasing our percentage margin by nearly 2.5 fold.
Great news from CA-04! If McClintock holds on, he should be able to secure this seat in perpetuity. McClintock is a staunch conservative reformer - the kind we desperately need in Washington right now.
these are absentee ballots
I didn't see this posted anywhere (I promise I did a search). I'm filling in for calcowgirl with the Tom McClintock pings for a few days....hope I did this right!
Meaning they should favor McClintock, correct?
You’re correct, sorry I forgot to include that info.
I’m hoping ACORN hasn’t found Placer Co. yet!
Looks like ACORN botched this particular race.
About 5000 ballots were counted in El Dorado County and he went up 122 on that batch. There are about 10,000 more in that County. He’s going to go down a bit when Nevada County counts on Wednesday or Thursday, but then he should go back up again on most everything else. There are 20,000 left in Placer County and that batch should be very good for Tom.
As I understand it, the northern part of the district will favor Brown but the rest of the district should overcome that.
Pelosi has the ACORN NUTS roaming for more ballots as she knows Tom Mac smells her stink a mile away and will expose the odor to America.... this one is gonna be good!
i think .
absentee voters in the past are usually retired and traveling .
now thanks to acorn they are Mickey and Minnie !
did you realize the dems do not count all the votes in some counties ?
Why is that? Is Brown from the northern part?
I don’t even know why this district is competitive with a great conservative like McClintock running. Charlie Brown is an ass, and this is a VERY Republican district.
That's not an automatic assumption any more. The rats have gotten down the absentee process. The darn near pulled this one off by working the hippies in Nevada County. McClintock will be doing well because of where the outstanding ballots are and how many. I am optimistic on this one. I think he'll ultimately win by 2500 or so.
This is good news, if he holds onto it. McClintock is the sort of conservative leader we need to have placed in the House, and cultivate for future political ambitions.
This is AWESOME. He will be a very good addition to the Republican ranks in Congress! This is great news!
The little round-headed kid was running for Congress?
I don’t know why Brown is popular in Nevada co. Only that more of the “Kennedy wing of the party” lives there.
It's a tough race because Tom's RINO primary opponent spent the greatest amount in U.S. history in a Congressional primary $6 million! to tarnish Tom's name.
That kind of effect still lingers 5 months later. It is also an open seat and this Brown guy nearly knocked off Congressman Doolittle last time (over false scandal accusations and Abramoff associations) so Brown has some name ID and followers.
