Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.
"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.
"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."
The two met at the White House in private, without staff.
"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.

The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."
Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office.
"Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

is with ACORN. It’s just a voter registration program,

As Bush’s negatives cannot get much lower, he should use these last few days to 1) give all possible assistance to Israel in taking out the Iranian nuclear facilities, 2) order our military to go wherever (borders be damned) Al Quaeda and the Taliban are holed up and destroy them, 3) pardon imprisoned border patrolmen, 4) forcefully computer chip Guantanamo inmates and send them back to their homelands, 5) make the transition period a living hell for Obama and his crumb bums and 6) get mad and start talking like the coming administration is going to be the death of this nation!

Same here, but in 1988. Bought my first new car, a Ford Taurus. Replaced a short block and TWO transmissions before 60K miles. In addition to that, the dealer was an a$$hole about doing the warranty work.

President Bush has aided the union-controlled auto makers enough. Business is business, and these businesses are failing because they cannot compete. They promised the moon to their workers, and the moon is too far away. Too bad. Welcome to America! (how many millions of Americans have not worked for GM or Ford and had their businesses fail with no relief from government???????) It’s a shame that the businesses let things get this bad.
Meanwhile, Senator Obama needs to be able to muzzle his staffers who are likely to blab about his own admin problems in a few months. That’s the fun part of a RAT admin. They all want to be the Big Cheese and be the Source for all info. They cannot keep their mouths shut. Obama has this problem, too. heh.
Obama is going to have quite a time with his staffers and Nancy Pelosi’s staffers and Nancy. She can be Queen. She is the one with the power these days. Obama is merely an executive figurehead. Nancy is the one who controls the legislative agenda. Obama would be wise to coddle her and keep her under control. (that’s why Rahm is Obama’s right hand man. he’s got to control Pelosi.)

TYes, your idea is a good one. There’s so many ways to do the job, but, I think he is going to do a very good job of pointing out to the voters, why he just is NOT the right person for this job.
Actually, he didn’t do a good job as senator either. He never held a meeting of the committee where he was chairman. That’s why his supporters have shown their stupidity in such a flagrant way.

If I were Bush, I would invite him back tomorrow and tell him while pointing his finger right in his face, “If you don’t get on national TV right after this interview and apologize to me and the American people for leaking private conversations, I will not talk to you again and you will not enter this building again until January 20th. Do you have that clear? Now, I have the news media waiting. Go.”
