Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.
"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.
"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."
The two met at the White House in private, without staff.
"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.

The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."
Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office.
"Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

You happen to know how many Dem seats there are now in the Senate? If Stevens, Coleman, and Chamliss all “lose”, the ‘rats must be close to 60 seats.
LOL!!!
So will President Bush be the first political prisoner of Obama administration?
How ironic - Freepers frequently post loose lips sink ships -— and we now have a new president who has neither manners nor prudence.
Almost correct. 0 told Emanuel, who then decided it should be leaked.
Emanuel is the Acting President-elect and Obama is the Puppet President-elect. On Jan 20, it will be Acting President Emanuel and Puppet President Obama.
I bet the 0bama administration likes the old Clinton-era tradition of hanging dildoes from the Christmas tree.
It's an accent that the average American can relate to, unlike a New England or southern accent. Obama has learned to use it to his advantage. It makes him sound knowledgeable and no-nonsense and it covers up his true personality.
America’s first “real” black President is showing himself to be totally devoid of any dignity or class (no matter how well he may have acted the part at times during the campaign in some peoples opinions, not mine). This is the role model for future black leaders and regular citizens. And we thought Jesse Jackson was a bad example. (Well we still do but this is a guy who’s gonna be in the news everyday for at least the next 4 years.)
Why do you think it would have to be anything other than that?
Thugalot
My heart breaks for President Bush. He has such a large burden to carry. I for one, am one Texan that will welcome him back. The hate is great from the left and who can they blame now they have their man in leadership? RUSH? SEAN? RIGHT WINGERS? Bush will get the blame for years to come. I can’t believe what my country has become.
New Administration: “Barakshavik Revolution”. I like the sinister quality of that one.
bttt
I heard it on Fox a few minutes ago.
How about the "Peter Principle Administration"?
You might just have made the truly perfect post, Leni.
Brava!
So George will hand out more of MY money if he can advance his globalist, America destroying agenda...
We appear to be two steps away from a Depression and one step away from Marxism/Socialism and George wants to flood our country will Columbian junk as well, putting even more Americans out of work...
If it was a private conversation just between the two how could any one else know about it unless Obama talked and is the one who leaked it
