Video footage from KPSP CBS 2 Palm Spring News shows Proposition 8 protesters surrounding an elderly woman and the reporter trying to interview her, shouting and blocking the camera's view of the woman, ultimately forcing the two to flee from the encircling crowd.
Phyllis Burgess, a supporter of true marriage, had been assaulted earlier as she displayed a large cross in front of the protesters. Video footage shows the anti-marriage crowd pushing Burgess, slapping the cross out of her hand and stomping on it as they surround her.
When reporter Kimberly Chang attempted to interview Burgess shortly thereafter, she grew visibly upset as dozens of protesters encircled the pair and shouted them down while blocking the camera with their signs, rendering the interview impossible.

You implied that I was ignoring the border issue.
Anyhow, birth rates and so on are indeed part of the equation, but that doesn’t mean that whites’ and Northern asians’ rates of responsible procreation should be necessarily increased so steeply as to equal or outstrip the wild, reckless, and unbridled multiplication of certain other groups of savages. That’s like saying we must out-third-world the third-worlders.
Perhaps it IS too late.
That kind of ammo isn’t too hard to acquire in quantity.
Good, better to have it and not need it, than.... and you know the rest.
There should be a code of ethics for protesting. Little old ladies and churches should be off limits.
Sure, sure...an anarchists’ rule book, right?
Sure, sure...an anarchists rule book, right?
I guess you are right, that’s like saying, there is honor among thieves
The fact that 7 out of 10 black Obama voters also voted for Prop. 8 is some of the only good news I heard coming out of the election. I heard the audio of this protest on Laura Ingraham. I have to assume that it got little play elsewhere. Imagine if the Christians were doing this at a gay gathering place: Headline, breaking news everywhere.
Since Florida 2000, it's been increasingly clear that the Left does not accept the legitimacy of elections. Their allies on the courts are willing collaborators in overturning both the rules for, and the results of, elections.
All of these demonstrations in CA are intended to set the scene for what the courts are about to do.
A defect of the courts of equity is that the seriousness or the intensity of a plaintiff or plaintiffs counts for something. A plaintiff or group of plaintiffs who are really angry, or really serious, have a better chance to succeed. So much better if they are 48% of the population.
My problem is if I type in anything other than the url it doesn't hotlink....I've tried all that a/href stuff and it's beyond my little pea brain.
Inserting the link by itself works, of course.
I hear you.

Wow. Just, wow! These protests are getting really ugly. I’d love for them to go to a black neighborhood where folks voted overwhelmingly in favor of Prop. 8. Let’s see how far they would get in pushing an elderly black woman in Compton or South Central. Cowards.
We dont march and threaten Catholics and Mormons. Nor do we assault the gay elderly and rip their rainbows and other gay advertising from them.

We can boycott the corporations funding the repeal of Prop 8.
Boycotts can work for our side too.
There are many corporations funding the repeal of Prop 8.
This link takes us right to the corporate sponsor page to repel Prop 8:

Shoot! I have to stop drinking Coors Light. Guess I will have to find another beer that doesn’t taste terrible and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
I wonder if something in your computer automatically HTML’s stuff. But that’s beyond me as well.
What I’ve learned I’ve learned through osmosis from two computer geeky kids.
I just watched that youtube video and someone is going to end up getting killed out there. The one protestor tore a sticker off that guy’s truck and the reporter is questioning the driver as if he were in the wrong for defending his property!
I expect the hate crimes to be even more prevalent this Saturday and Sunday at Churches across California.
This will drive a permanent wedge between the Good Black and Hispanic Americans when they are threatened and become hate crime victims because of their support for prop 8.
