It was when it was reported that Sarah Palin didn’t know where Africa was that I knew it was a hoax. I mean, c’mon. Everyone knows Africa is between Virginia and Maryland.
Of course Hussein was behind this. Just as he managed to get all his opposition off the ballot to run unopposed back in Ill. Any bets on FOX running a correction?
But it sounds as if there was enough of an inside basis to the, granted, purposely distorted rumors, such as her off-hand comment about NAFTA, no? And Cameron must have had confirmation that his source was working for their campaign, no?
That’s what I don’t understand about your claims that it comes from Obama operatives—although I do believe that Nicole Wallace was as good as a plant!

I dunno, when I heard Nicole say she wasn’t having problems with the VP, and that if they needed her to be thrown under the bus that she would be honored to go lay in the road, I had my doubts it was her. Whatever you may think of her I’ve always thought she was an earnest little gal.
Martin Eisenstadt taking credit for being the Cameron source was the hoax, not that Cameron was fooled by a hoaxter.

The story was still poorly reported. Cameron did NOTHING to get the other side or find out if any of this were true. Turns out most if not all of it was not true. Cameron was a willing accomplish in this Palin smear.
Boy, Karl Cameron comes out of this looking like a complete unprofessional ass who can’t properly vet a source.
And Fox news wanted it to be true so Cameron went with the story. He can keep his apology since no one wants it. OTOH, I hope he works on that deplorable lisp.

This is what happens when a member of the media so badly wants a story to be true. Whether he was co-opted for ideological reasons or for the moment in the MSM sun Cameron needs his ass whipped a trip to the wood shed.
The two-source standard that these guys learn in journalism school exists for a reason. If Cameron had adhered to it, he wouldnt have egg all over his face.
