Dean comes from Vermont. How many black people do you think he as ever had to work with? Something tells me that the DNC is going to look like a Black Panthers recruiting station on steroids and Dean wants no part of it.

As much as I detest Howard Dean, the next RNC chairman can learn a lot from what Dean did. He de-emphasized the establishment and empowered the grassroots. He pledged to run spirited campaigns in all 50 states, even in red states and in red districts. He also revolutionized the DNC’s communication apparatus, fully utilizing the new media.
I would like to see the next RNC chairman take some of these steps.
