AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to dothats host. Get ready to what you were born to dothats listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
Why am I getting blame for this? I am just happy to post on Rush’s thread before Rush gets off for today.
What? No Harvest Gold? =)
Don’t you think it odd that FR went down just before Rush’s show started?
Barney needs to at least take a wizz on his loafers.
Nope. John Rob is working on the new servers. Like I said, it was down ALL DAY on Saturday.
I think this time it looks like a DOS.
So Obama plans to use executive orders so he doesn’t have to “wait for congress”? Will congress even object as long as he’s implementing things of which they approve? Will there be anything left of our country to rescue after he’s been in office eight years? I know one president can revoke a predecessor’s executive order, but what if those orders have provided more government handouts to voters? A conservative president, even with a Republican congress, would have a hard time revoking an order if the result is to take money from people (who, of course, didn’t earn it in the first place). The implications are making me dizzy.
Now the msm are trying to relive Kennedy and Camelot all over again. LOL
I know—I was on the yahoo message board. I don’t think there have ever been more messages on our yahoo site than on Saturday.

Yup, the entire system was down hard yesterday. We couldn’t even reach it remotely. It’s like we had no system at all, no DNS, nothing. John had to drive up to the data center to restart and debug it. After rebooting, he had to do some major diagnostic and forensic work, some debugging and network systems work, and finally got it up again.
Don’t know exactly what the error was that brought it down, probably a combination of things. We had a particularly nasty DOS attack last week and the system has not been fully up to speed since. Don’t want to start any conspiracy theories, but someone could be messing with us. Got a nagging feeling that not all the people of the world love us.
John will continue researching, refining and beefing up our systems and security. And we’ll also be ordering some new equipment that will help us recover remotely. We now have twelve separate servers up there and keeping them all running, all on the network and all synchronized is a bit of a chore. The next major hardware upgrade we make will include a replacement of all these separate boxes into one unit where the various processors are on boards that just plug into a big box. And when the big box is filled up, we can simply add another big box and continue plugging in more processor boards as needed. That should handle our growth to a few million concurrent users. After that, we’ll have some serious hardware growth issues to contend with.
We’ll also be exploring an offshore account somewhere, perhaps a mirror site for maximum redundancy, and maybe some underground networking. We’ll be encouraging a comeback of the local chapter networking system and encouraging our members to exchange email addresses and phone numbers with trusted chapter or group members.
On the personal side, I am fairly well. Still have the infection in my lower right leg and they’re treating it, but we can’t seem to get rid of it. But we’re managing. Just praying it doesn’t get worse and they won’t have to amputate it too. My blood sugar is under control. Diet and the pills are keeping it in the “good” range. Don’t have to use insulin. They’re also giving me pills for circulation, blood pressure, cholesterol, various dietary supplements and minerals and vitamins. They’ve discontinued the antibiotics. I take enough pills daily to choke a horse.
I have regained much of my strength and I’m now able to sleep at night. I can attend to most of my personal needs but still need quite a bit of Chris’ help with some things, like dressing, for example. I can now transfer myself to and from bed and in and out of the driver’s seat of the van and I can drive. This gives us some independence.
Sheila, John and Chris are all well.
Thank you all very much for hanging in there with us. We must all hang together or surely we’ll hang separately.
God bless.

Union member on the phone. He can’t understand why we object to unions.
70s Brown or 60s Avocado... hard to tell which is worse. Our Amana, IIRC, needed some sort of adjustment when it was brand new and has never given us another minute of trouble. Maybe I should paint it.
“Stroke of a pen...law of the land. Pretty neat.” - Paul Begala.
That was the Clinton philosophy on Executive Orders.
How do you think Obama will be?
Your kitchen is going to look ab-fab.
We didn’t do it as a Party, as a group. We had ninnies in our party wringing their hands in despair, and John McCain could barely bring himself to utter the name William Ayers....We need to make sure our “mouthpieces” (The so called leaders of our party) have the stomachs to fight, or they get off the train RIGHT NOW. Yes, it’s a dirty business, but my GOD man, they mocked a POW’s injuries (he can’t use a computer) BUT he couldn’t find it in himself to criticize the big 0 for befriending a terrorist, whose goal was to kill as many Americans as possible. We have to believe in the justness of our arguments for them to resonate with Americans. Americans could tell McCain didn’t think it was a huge deal; so why should they?
It’s not going to be easy, especially with the DBM in cahoots with the libs, BUT, if we don’t fight, and fight full throttle, with everything we got, then we may as well get used to Dim rule...jmho.
How can Rush say you will get more money if you leave? What private job pays more for a pension nowadays?
