The New York Times Eric Lichtblau takes a look at a potential Attorney General nominee in the nascent Barack Obama administration and its a familiar face. Jamie S. Gorelick may be on Obamas short list for AG, but she has been a familiar face during the Bush administration, too. Gorelick served under Janet Reno during the Clinton administration and played a critical role in blinding counterterrorism efforts prior to 9/11:
--snip--
Gorelick would bring corporate experience to an Obama administration in the same way Rahm Emanuel did. Gorelick was vice chairman at Fannie Mae in the years when the GSE fraudulently reported its income. She got a Friends of Angelo sweetheart mortgage for almost a million dollars in 2003, and is currently under investigation by the department she would run if nominated for AG.

Yay! The Fannie-Mae administration!
Just like they did Fannie Mae, they will run this country into the ground.
GTFO!
No justice, no god, no hope.
He had better not!
Wonder if she will go to the inauguration wearing a stovepipe hat?
They cant be this stupid. Her Fannie Mae affiliation has doomed her.
First thing she’ll do is release all the GITMO terrorists with an apology and a copy of the Koran.
How can this girl be seriously considered for Attorney General? Based on her work in the Clinton administration to erect that “wall” about sharing intelligence about terror threats, and the fact that she’s “on the wrong side of history” on that issue, how can she be seriously considered?
Nothing personal against her, as Joe Biden might say, it’s her JUDDDGGEEMENT that I question.
Wonder if he will fire all the U.S. attorneys?
Wonder if the media will notice or issue one big YAWN.
Perfect, she can do what the toons did, fire the attorneys who are investigating her. Ever since she was on the 9-11 commission to cover for herself and the Clintons, the whole world has been upside down. And of course the republicans will approve her.
PS: Even her name disqualifies her. LOL!
Clueless? I think not. Rather, it would be deliberate. See the earlier Jamie Gorelick thread.
Gorelick as AG is asking for trouble. I don’t see Obama doing that when he could get another one who would do the same and be less of an issue.
“Perfect, she can do what the toons did, fire the attorneys who are investigating her. Ever since she was on the 9-11 commission to cover for herself and the Clintons, the whole world has been upside down. And of course the republicans will approve her.”
All that can be added to that is your user name.
I said on another thread that maybe Lawrence Tribe will get the A.G. spot. He’s probably too old for the Supreme Court, and too lightweight to become an astronaut. Obama will reward Tribe with something.
The country will be in for an entire Murderer’s Row, the names will drip out one by one. Stock provisions, pray, and get Palin to Washington to start telling the people, in language they understand, just what will be happening to our nation.
This woman should have been tarred-feathered and run out of town on a rail....she would fit in nicely with the other moonbats BO is considering....
“They cant be this stupid. Her Fannie Mae affiliation has doomed her.:
On the contrary. To this administration, it’s a feather in her cap.
“Wonder if he will fire all the U.S. attorneys?”
I have the same question.
This whole administration is going to be madness!
