The co-chair of Barack Obama's Transition Team, Valerie Jarrett, appeared on Meet the Press this weekend and used, shall we say, an interesting word to described what she thinks Barack Obama will be doing in January when he's officially sworn into office. She told Tom Brokaw that Obama will be ready to "rule" on day one. It's a word that reflects the worst fears that people have for Obama the "arrogant," the "messiah," that imagines he's here to "rule" instead of govern.

Oh dear Lord, they aren’t even trying to watch their words.
Govern?
Lead?
But rule?
God help us.
Is it too late to organize a barricade around the White House on January 19? This guy shouldn’t be anywhere near Washington D.C.
My, my...shouldn’t that be “serve”??? Even “lead” would be better than “rule.” A huge stink should follow that telling remark, just to let BO know that we don’t need a ruler in the White House.
We fought a revolutionary war about that issue, and George Washington quashed the idea when his admirers wanted him to be king. And Barack, you are no George Washington.
It is amazing that 63 million voters did not figure this out!

Unfortunately, an awful lot of our fellow citizens share the same fundamental misunderstanding. If you tell them that granting Barack Obama the power of a medieval king will mean the price of gas will stay at $2.00/gallon and they won't have to pay for it when they go to the dentist, they'll give an enthusiastic “thumbs up”!

They have been telling us exactly what they are going to do, we’re in just such denial it is happening we can’t hear them.

Jarrett was born to an African-American family in Shiraz, Iran
Her great-uncle is Democratic powerbroker Vernon Jordan.
Jarrett got her start in Chicago politics in 1987 working for Mayor Harold Washington as Deputy Corporation Counsel for Finance and Development.
She is currently the CEO of The Habitat Company, a real estate development and management company, which she joined in 1995.
Valerie Jarrett is the woman known as the other side of Barack Obama’s brain. Jarrett, a 51-year-old business leader and single mother.
Jarrett is a member of African-American and Chicago royalty.
I repeat myself: what a disaster.
The people that voted for this Thing have truly lost their minds.
