THE WORLD WON'T LOVE OBAMA FOREVER
The Boston Globe ^ | November 09, 2008 | Jeff Jacoby

Posted on 11/09/2008 9:38:44 PM PST by RobinMasters

The storyline goes something like this: America’s one-time popularity in the world was squandered by George W. Bush, whose belligerence and unilateralism after Sept. 11, 2001 alienated allies and engendered widespread anti-Americanism. But now, with the election of Barack Obama, America can restore its good name and regain the world’s goodwill.

One vigorous exponent of this narrative has been Obama himself. “The single most important issue that we're facing in this election,” he said during the campaign, is choosing a leader “to repair all the damage that's been done to American's reputation overseas.” On the day I become president, he often told voters, “the world will look at America differently."

'Popularity is nice, but it isn't the goal of US foreign policy. Great nations have great interests in the world - interests that cannot always be secured through patient negotiation or Security Council resolutions. As the foremost military power, the United States must at times be "the world's reluctant sheriff," using force to maintain order or defend liberty. President Obama may speak more softly than his predecessor, but he will still be carrying a very big stick. Like other presidents, he will be loudly condemned when he uses it. As George W. Bush can tell him, the abuse goes with the job.'

WELL SAID.

I love being a leader! I already don’t love “the one.”

Puhleeeeze. I'm so tired of that B.S. We spend our treasure and our blood to bring down two major sources of tyranny and terror in the middle east and liberated 50 million people in the process...but not before spending months and months at the U.N. trying to get those “allies” to get on board. They had their interests in mind ($$$) and we had ours.

We did what we needed to do, and these pricks act like we invaded the Vatican.

Sarkosy mocked his foreign policy before the elections. They view him as a retarded Affirmative Action recipient unsteeped in hard sciences. Europe, India, China, all have high respect for hard science and little for liberal artsies like Obambi.

I remember an episode of the show “Alf”, dubbed in French. The wife claimed proudly her diploma in Liberal arts, the husband called it a false degree outlet for those who failed.

But here was the cincher: in english the episode was portraid to make the husband look bad and her sophisticated. In French they used the words slightly differently, calling her degree plainly “Arts” degree, without the hyphen of “liberal” in front of it, to really emphasis that she were indeed a hair head and him right to say that.

The hyphenzation in liberal-arts makes the stupid degree supported by some kind of blessing of higher philosophical significance, but which it is not, and that is the legacy of affirmative action: entitlement without discipline and true virtue behind that title, or fraud.

When the economy tanks, Obama will be seen as another fraud American “new-age preacher”, and he’ll beg to them for recognition and he will be blackmailed and do all they say.

But it’s going to get only worse for the cynical French world of interference intelligence penetration of the US system and culture of liberty.

Liberty or interference, the psycho sinners of the old world dying will burn down all the same in shame.

Agreed. Look at how many conservative leaders (at least for Europe) have been recently elected. All this "hate Bush" crap is nothing but left wing Pravda.

"“to repair all the damage that's been done to American's reputation overseas.” "

" 'Coalition of the Willing' refers to the countries who supported, militarily or verbally, the 2003 invasion of Iraq and subsequent military presence in post-invasion Iraq since 2003. The original list prepared in March 2003 included 49 members.[3] Of those 49, only four besides the U.S. contributed troops to the invasion force (the United Kingdom, Australia, Poland, and Denmark). 33 provided some number of troops to support the occupation after the invasion was complete. Six members have no military."

Uh ok we what about when we said 'he can't beat Hillary' or what about when we said 'America will see him for what he is and McCain will win'.

Let's face it: He's the anti-christ. Okay fine. Let me try again. Let's face it: Mike Pence and Eric Cantor have to do a hell of a lot better than they did on FNS today if we're going to beat his demonic lawyer from hell and beastly wife in 2012.

Also, why isn't Newt RNC chair? If he wants it and it looks like he does. Give it to him. If he don't want it, give it to Steele. Done. Let's get organized for goodness sakes. Let's have a vote and let's go. Everybody's takin their sweet old time going on a cruise with National Review. The buffet is great I'm sure.

Metro sexual men aren't that scary. He's not seen as a strong leader at all. My guess is Americans feel the same way. They just wanted that huge free handout he promised them.

Obama will prove once and for all that African-Americans can accomplish anything, including the accomplishment of becoming one of the most forgettable presidents, along with Buchanan and Harding. Or maybe he’ll have a Miltonian epiphany and eliminate the income tax, reduce the size of government by 80 percent, pursue an aggressive policy against Islamic fascists, and pave the way for school vouchers.

However, I’ll bet my first prediction is the keeper.

“But now, with the election of Barack Obama..”

********************************

If they were stupid enough to elect Obama, they might be too stupid to connect the dots should an attack happen.

Jindal..."graduated with honors in biology and public policy. Following his graduation from Brown he attended Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar, having turned down admissions to medical and law schools at both Harvard and Yale."

that's what we need. Though he needs a personal trainer and time to hit the weights.

I can see this country becoming more divided and polarized over the next four years. And Obama will be the root cause.

If he starts a trade war with China, especially during a recession, we could be entering into some serious doodoo.

****************************

But as a commie, would he not want to help his masters in China? Or does he realize that given the opportunity, they would have him shot as a “useful idiot”?

Obama came to power on a ground swell of emotionalism. Emotions that can turn on a dime tend to swing to extremes.

Reversing that list is always the imbecilic policy of the left.

*********************************************

They are NOT stupid. They deliberately aim to ruin morale here while running us into the ground. Thus they would take more control the serfs, seeing as how they are the reigning Lords in their communist paradise.
