Carol Anne Burger was fighting for her life.
Racked by economic and romantic reversals, she struggled against moods that swung from sadness to anger.
Her e-mails and an eight-page letter, subsequently e-mailed to Boynton Beach police by a friend in close touch with Burger during her final months, depict a bright, idealistic and compassionate woman struggling to keep her head up while caught in a painful, humiliating situation.
She was unemployed and having to sell her house because of the breakup of her long-term relationship with her partner. Worse, she was still living in that house with her former mate, who had found another lover and spent happy hours on the phone and computer with that other woman.
In the end, it was too much.
On the night of Oct. 22, police say, Burger, 57, killed her roommate, Jessica Kalish, 56, stabbing her more than 200 times with a screwdriver. The next day, after trying fruitlessly to cover up her crime by disposing of the body, she shot herself to death.

So she was a lesbian who was going through a bad breakup and was financially deprived?
Why can’t they say so..err...wait a minute...
When words no longer mean things, when ducks cannot be called ducks, there is little reason to have a news media especially if all they do is cover up with vaguarities what should be simply reported...

Ho boy. There’s another phrase I’ll run from when I meet someone described like that!
“I’m an honorable person” is the other phrase that sends me in the opposite direction.
“bright, articulate, compassionate” Check...
And we want these types of people running the country? Yes, it is indeed time to hunker down and learn to survive.

Quick anyway. I don’t believe Palin is an uncompassionate woman. But a stabbing death by a screw driver is cruel and evil. That was a death from pure hate. If she wants her lesbian pal died, she could have at least made it quick.
