I wonder what the increase in Home Schooling & Private Schooling will be in the coming years? And, I know that Home Schooling is something hated and despised by our (Virginia) new Senator Mark Warner. It is also hated by the established madrassa/indoctrination machine of the NEA. I wonder if attempts will be made to outlaw home Schooling or make it so regulated and difficult that people have to give up?
I'm sure they will get around to it eventually. First they have to get all the courts stacked in their favor, which really won't take very long as they've managed to hold up most of Bush's appointments. Then they'll start rolling out the MSM by finding “horror stories” of home schooling gone wrong. The facts that 99% of home schooled children score in the top 1% on SAT’s will be ignored, and calls for reform will come from the shocked public, and they'll have no choice but respond.
If it starts to become significant, it will be made illegal. Of course lots of things that are hard to detect are illegal, but still go on. Still it will have to be "after hours" and the kids will still have to show up for the indoctrination sessions from 9-3 or maybe 8-5.
