Barack Obama wants to find ways to make his mark quickly in the opening days of his presidency and reverse the legacy of George W. Bush. Obama will focus his efforts on the list of executive orders that shaped White House policy, reversing them quickly. That does not require legislative approval, but it could bring the most contentious issues to the forefront immediately and create more polarization than post-partisanship (via Jazz Shaw):

Back a ways, when I questioned why W did not rescinded some of Klintoon's more onerous EO's, I was informed that this was near impossible to do, based on numerous legal obstacles.
Mayhaps those same individuals might come forward and explain once again why The One thinks he can get away with this while Bush couldn't??
And W didn’t cancel Bill Clinton’s EOs the first day he assumed office because? I’m real tired of socialism being advanced with every Dem president, and Rep presidents doing nothing to roll it back.
Point well taken.
Bush selected Andrew Card a moderate Northeast Republican with a penchant for compassion and bipartisancrap as his Chief of Staff.
Obama selected Rahm Emanuel, a hyper partisan Chicago pol with apenchant for hardball Chicago and Clintonian politics.
That about says it all.
Well, when he makes sure that there will be no new off-shore drilling (I guess we'll just buy the oil from off-shore from Cuba and China), don't be surprised to see gasoline start going right back up again...

“Obama must be held Accountable.”
Not only Obama. The MEDIA must also be held accountable.
Everyone knows that the media is responsible for Obama. We must NEVER allow them to dodge their role in his ascent to the ultimate power he seeks.
We should always refer to President Obama as “Obama ... who was supported by the media in 2008...”
I also have come to that conclusion. Sad but true!!!
If he issues just ONE Presidential pardon, and none go to Agents Campion (sp) and Ramos, I will be so angry and incredibly disappointed in President Bush, that I just don't know what I'll do, but I'll be incredibly angry at him and the entire universe of republicans, for abandoning them to their enemies. Lewis Libby too. Talk about being railroaded. But Ramos and Campion should NEVER have spent 1 minute in jail, nor had their careers and lives ruined. The government (from Bush on down) wanted to make an example of them, to show what happens when officers of the law dare to actually do their sworn duty!

Not only that but George Soros paid for Obama's campaign through more than one 527. That nasty John Podesta even admitted it on Fox News Sunday this morning (their donors are private and not listed).
Bush was way too timid when he first took office.
“Executive orders “have the power of law and they can cover just about anything”
I dont know much about this topic. Can Obamanazi change law that has been set forth by the Supreme Court?
“Stroke of the pen. Law of the land. Kinda cool.” —Clinton presidential aide Paul Begala, July 1998.
Is there any checks and balances on this stroke of the pen stuff. What happens if the US is stupid enough to vote in a Communist, Marxist, Muslim terrorist, etc.
OMG..is the only option impeachment?
Don’t like Roe V Wade? okay. GONE????????!!!!!!
Amazing that nobody puts any credit on the financial meltdown to how many trillions of dollars has been extracted from the American economy by the oil imports.
I spent 3 to 4 months doing research before I put the Drill4oilnow site together. Its all about National Defence, Drill for Oil Now I knew Sarah because of her work in Alaska, and was very happy with her choice as VP
We are now further behind the 8-ball on this and e-mail and petitions will not work, hard copy snail mail is the only way to get their attention. The Democratics believe that they have a mandate with "That One" was elected
