NORM COLEMAN'S "LIBERAL RINO" ACTIONS IN THE SENATE:
* Led the fight AGAINST Kofi Annan. Outspoken against UN corruption -- THE Senator who exposed UN Oil-for-food program. In May 2005, the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, chaired by Coleman, held hearings on their investigation of abuses of the UN Oil-for-Food program, including oil smuggling, illegal kickbacks and use of surcharges, and Saddam Hussein's use of oil vouchers for the purpose of buying influence abroad. These Oil-for-Food Program Hearings covered corporations (including Bayoil) and several well-known political figures of various nations (including Vladimir Zhironovsky), but are much remembered for the confrontational appearance of British Member of Parliament George Galloway, a member of the RESPECT The Unity Coalition (Respect), a then-new British political party. Coleman accused Galloway of abuses, which Galloway denied. The previous year, Coleman had called for the UN's Secretary-general Kofi Annan to resign for other alleged program abuses.
* Led the fight to support the surge in Iraq and fighting the War on Terror. He has been a consistent supporter of the war over the past several years and cast the deciding vote on more than one occasion. He is in favor of the eventual removal of U.S. troops from Iraq, but does not believe in any kind of timetable for the removal of troops until the situation in Iraq becomes more stable.
* Staunch Pro-life leader in the U.S. Senate. Coleman attributes his position on abortion to the death of two of his four children in infancy from a rare genetic disease. He supports limiting stem cell research to adult stem cells and stem cells derived from umbilical cord blood. Senator Coleman also spoke in favor of legislative intervention to prolong the life of severely brain-damaged Floridian Terri Schiavo.
* Fights for traditional families. In his 2002 Senate campaign, Coleman pledged support a amendment to the United States Constitution that would ban any state from recognizing same-sex marriage. In 2004 and in June 2006, he voted in favor of such an amendment. When he was mayor, Coleman refused to sign a city proclamation celebrating the annual gay pride festival, explaining his opposition: "What we have had in St. Paul and Minneapolis for many years is signing a joint proclamation making it gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender month. I've felt very strongly that is wasn't government's responsibility to give proclamations for people's sexuality. I don't think government has a responsibility to issue awards for one's sexuality."
* Champions American Soviergnity. On March 14, 2006, Coleman introduced a bill that would ban foreign companies from operating ports in the United States and most of Canada. (S.2410, 3/14/2006: A bill to amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to limit foreign control of investments in certain United States critical infrastructure).

The term "RINO" makes sense when people like Arnold Schwartzenegger, Linc Chafee, and Mark Kirk are called "RINOS". RINO stands for Republican In Name Only, and THOSE kinds of "Republicans" REGULARLY do the bidding of the Democrats. They are wrong on ALL the major issues Republicans believe in. (pro-life, traditional families, cutting taxes, reducing spending, winning the WOT, etc.)
When people like Norm Coleman are called "RINOs" by their detractions, what those conservatives reallymean is that so-and-so Republican voted against them on one or two issues, and that happens to be their little "pet" issue, therefore they will scream "RINO socialist" at a person who AGREES with them the OTHER 80% of the time. If that's their idea of "RINO", I'd hate to see their idea of conservative.
Fact is, people like Norm Coleman may not be perfect, but not only are they 10X better than Al Franken, they're probably 5X better than ACTUAL RINOs like Schwartzenegger. I WISH we had a guy like Norm Coleman nominated for the U.S. Senate in Illinois this year. Our Senate candidate really was a useless RINO who's only issue was "I'm not Dick Durbin"
Norm Coleman is a pro-America moderately conservative Senator, and he has EARNED our support through his record in exposing UN corruption. The "purists" are part of the reason we have a RAT majority in the Senate in the first place. They turned their back on guys like Jim Talent, while supporting actual "liberals" like Joe Lieberman.
You on the other hand, are hyperventilating over the issue of fraud. I haven't heard Coleman mention anything about fraud. Again, my issue is with Coleman not being a conservative. If Franken beats him, he deserves to lose.
If you can calm down, answer my question. Don't you think Coleman would be demanding a recount if he was behind by 220 votes?
There are reports of chicanery and you're willing to overlook it, or even cheer it.

Cheating in politics has been going on since the very first campaign and election was held. The idea is to get more votes than your opponent to win. Preferably, a lot more votes. If Coleman thought there was evidence of unlawful activities, he would be demanding an inquiry. So far, that hasn't happened.

The Coleman for Senate Campaign is looking for individuals (attorneys and non-attorneys) to participate in the recount effort. These individuals will be responsible for monitoring the counting of ballots at each location and various duties as needed. The actual counting will be done by the county auditor and each campaign has the opportunity to have an individual(s) observe to ensure the integrity of the process. We are looking for both Minnesota residents and non-residents.
Time Commitment
We are anticipating the recount process to last approximately 20 working days. We recognize that a 4-week commitment would be difficult for most so we have divided deployments into two different two-week commitments which are listed below. Volunteers should expect to work 7:30 to 5:30 pm daily Monday through Friday.

As I stated in a previous post, you are not a resident of Minnesota. Politics are a bit 'different' here. Perhaps you took note of that when we had a Governor Ventura. I live in this state and Coleman is a far better choice than Mr. Franken. I will fight tooth and nail to stop the ACORN folks from stealing the election from Coleman.
