I’m tempted to go out and buy some of the guns that I know wil be banned soon, but unless there is a way to purchase them without leaving a permanent paper trail, Obama’s goons will just show up at my door one day asking me to hand over the AR-15 etc.

It’s true that “unpapered” guns are preferred to those on a 4473 form, but recall that this only `registers’ the gun at the point of initial retail sale.

There’s not a federal law I know of that requires you to notify the authorities when you have sold, transferred, or otherwise disposed of the firearm listed on that 4473.

“In order to have a registration law, there must also be a deregistration law”

If they come to your house, you can say,

“I sold it for cash”

“I threw it into the lake/river/ocean just to keep you from getting your hands on it”

If they search your house and come up empty-handed, what is your crime (unless martial law is in effect)?

Private sales (between two non-FFL individuals) devoid of any paperwork are still legal in most states.

I live in one: Texas.

This, coincidentally, has a complementary effect, if you live in such a state. The Obamaniacs come around and ask for the AR, you claim you sold it to a private buyer a few weeks before the ban went into effect. Unless you’re really unlucky and are one of the first people they went to (unlikely) you will have gotten enough warning to hide your weapons where the Obamaniacs won’t find them.

Of course, if they’re going door to door, it may then be time to begin to consider USING the rifles once they leave your premises.

There will be no asking.

Here's how these things work. Informers. These will be your O-ba-ma co-workers who heard you say something about guns, hunting, the Constitution, or just plain don't like you. They have a quiet word with the O-Political officer at your place of employment.

Next, At dawn your neighborhood is surrounded by squads of police with dogs, maybe ATF agents.

Then they shoot your dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, etc. You and your family and any neighborhood "friends" will be dragged from your homes. Trussed and forced to kneel while your home is dismantled because you have obviously hidden things in the wall, under floorboards, etc.

You and your weeping family will remain on display during the whole ordeal, as the prototypical "enemy of the People". Rabble rousers will incite the mob for some street justice. Followed by bbq and re-distribution of your goods.

If you survive the "street justice" you will be billed for all expenses incurred. And this is the good version. Usually it's just Molotov cocktails at night.

yep, all the 'runs' on guns across the nation have been watched...those 4473s are on the top of the stack...

unintended consequence is the run up of pricing for ammo that gonna happen shortly...

I would’nt be afraid to purchace another gun in fear of someone”showing up to take it away” When/if government people show up at your door, you have lost far more than your second amendment rights.I would hope we’d put up a fight before that happens. When a tyranny makes this country not worth living in, then might as well die fighting.
