The people have spoken and have no clue as to what they have really said. They swallowed promises of jelly beans and ice cream by a vendor who has never produced anything but a shiny brightly colored facade from which he is selling empty air. Actually it took Middle Eastern money, Marxist subversives, corrupt Chicago Political Machine, Chicago mobsters, and a lot of hard, devious work on the behalf of Obama Husain Obama to convince dont confuse me with the facts masses to pull the lever for a man who has no accomplishments in his wake except for self promotion.
The reason Obama won was not because he is the better person to be president. He won because he had one goal and one goal only and that was to win. He started his ascendency a long time ago. Republicans have not been watchful and let things get out of control. He organized and made coalitions with as many groups he found that could help him. He cared not what the groups stood for or their goals. He befriended them, used them, and discarded them as it benefited him. The Republican candidate has a moral view of fairness that guided his campaign. This and the events that lead to the economic condition defeated our candidate.
The main reason for McCains defeat was that the word Republican became synonymous with failed policies, over spending, greed, and a general disregard for the people. Strange because it is the Democrats who are guilty of all these things, not that our Republican legislators and administration didnt contribute to that Republican image. For the last three decades the American public has been programmed by our educational system for a class struggle pitting the all citizens against those who have succeeded more than the rest of us.
This has fermented a mental state where the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness has been expanded to a right of property and goods that others may possess. It is easy to persuade a public that is dissatisfied with the current situation. Remember there has never been a revolution by a satisfied public. When the public does not feel empowered it is difficult to convince them that they should be self-reliant. Regardless of the reasons or whose fault, Americans saw the surge in our countrys wealth turn into foreclosures and bankruptcies. The public felt powerless and our governments efforts failed to make a turn around.
Distribution of wealth became very attractive. Whether that will ultimately be the result or not is to be seen. What will happen is that taxes will be increased and spending on things that can not be seen as a direct and immediate benefit to the people (such as military expenditures etc.) will be cut drastically. A definite push towards more of a socialistic America will be made starting with an attempt to socialize the health services. It will happen more slowly than some expected but the trend will start almost immediately.
One wonders what is worse, the things that he said he would do (raise taxes, bankrupt the coal industry, cut military spending including future weapons development, socialize medicine, etc), the things that he may do since he has no experience in anything but self promotion, or waiting for both of these events to happen. I have decided not to worry about what might happen or when (easy to say but hard to do). I will prepare myself to act at the time that this empty suit attempts to mess up this country. Hopefully you all, who now feel disenfranchised, will join me in this endeavor. We must be prepared to counter his attempts to put this country on a path to socialism and destruction. We have to have courage and not be afraid to put our names on petitions, letters, faxes, and emails to all the legislators and government officials. United we will be able to stem the destruction of our Constitution that was so well thought out by our forefathers, fought for, and defended by men and women who risked all to create a new and different way of life that has not been seen before.
Now is the time to start. Now is the time to seek out and mold new and inspiring men and women to represent us. The Democrats got into power in California by seeding the ground. Step by step slowly they moved in. By grooming and electing their own to the school boards, community colleges, city councils, police chiefs, mayors, assembly, and the state senate.
I am of the sense the top GOP orchestrated a measured loss chiefly as payback because they lost their bid for amnesty. Two years ago, even a Republican majority got hammered by people intent to stalewart the Bush Administration to grant millions of lawbreakers citizenship and include them among the rolls of the impoverished so taxpayers could support them. With that loss still fresh in their memories, it appears Republicans who sided with American Patriots were denied ample GOP support in defeating their opponents or were supplied kamikaze advisors who tanked those bids for office.
Got to quit FReeping before coffee.
[he voted with Bush 90% of the time]
The democrats and their media have spent years demonizing Bush with the clear objective of making him the political pariah he is today.
The goal was to tie anyone who ran against the democrat nominee with Bush and it succeeded beautifully for them because they knew whomever our nominee was, they wouldn’t have to courage to stand behind our president or our country.
Our party is bereft with politicians who are afraid to speak the truth and will go down in history as appeasers of the Socialist State and complicit with the destruction of our Republic.
I know. I’m angry at the stupid voters. A lifelong friend told me she voted for this man because he’s intelligent and he would be a compassionate leader. Reasons for voting against him? She didn’t believe any of them.
I don’t care if these people want to live under the rule of a marxist thug but, but, yes, I’m very angry that they’re taking me down with them.
“They swallowed promises of jelly beans and ice cream by a vendor who has never produced anything”
- - - or maybe Kool Aid?
Anyway, they voted for an empty skin, because, while they voted for his outer color, they still have no idea what’s inside it.
I’m all for that. I wish that had even a prayer of being implemented.
I hope this is right. The deck will certainly be stacked against us and in a way that might silence us - but we need to do whatever it takes to be the opposition. We need organization.
It was almost amusing - I had to be in Concord, mASSachusetts yesterday. Everywhere you went - there were groups of senior citizens, I mean people in the 70’s and 80’s gushing over how B. Hussein O. was going to save them with free medical care. How intelligent and good looking and smart he was and how great he did in his press conference. These people are NUTS. None of them were poor or even middle-class, all very well off. They have no idea that their money will be targeted for ‘redistribution’ and they are unlikely to be considered eligible for expensive and scarce health services when the government starts allocating it.
Bread and circuses.
I like the one by HL, “No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American People.”
Here's my experience. I ran in a primary for congress back in 2002. I quit a good job and went on the road for 4 months, driving 16,000 miles thru 13 counties and personally talking to thousands of citizens.
My conservative "friends" mostly didn't lift a finger to help nor did they donate any money. They were too busy earning money to help straighten out the government mess.
Here is the irony of the communist takeover:
Conservatives have jobs and businesses. They are busy being productive.
The left can field armies of losers and community organizers who don't have a damn thing to do but undermine liberty and capitalism and wait for a hand-out.
The people have spoken along with thousands of fraudulent ballots.
He doesn't need to. All he needs to do is create enough chaff so you miss the articles like this that give specific steps on how to fight him. The process of creating chaff here started years ago and has resulted in multi-thousand post threads on nothing but distractions. Those distractions also make it easy to label this site and keep good people away.
And by having a much better analysis of the problem. The Right thinks winning the Governor's job is the big thing in state politics. The Left figured out that winning Secretary of State is better, as that's the job holder that usually gets to count the votes.
Let me suggest a slight alteration to your comment.
He won because he had one goal and one goal only and that was to win, and was willing to break any rule to get it done.
I think breaking rules actually worked in his favor, as it induced cognitive dissonance in the McCain campaign. McCain felt forced to say sweet things about Obama, to counter the fact that he (McCain) couldn't really believe that a Senator would stoop to the depths that Obama did.
Didn’t Castro say that (ref thread title) in 1962 right before he suspended all future elections?

Closer to almost 80 years. It started with FDR and has just gotten worse year after year.
