I have never understood the argument that giving the libs a voice on radio decimates the conservative voice. If the libs have a block of time and then Rush, Hannity etc have a block if time they can spend 15 minutes skewering the libs ridiculous arguments and then the world will have the opportunity to see the difference betweeen foolishness and logic.

A block of time? No thank you. America does not want to hear what the left has to say. If they did, liberal talk would be doing much better. It’s bad enough Rush and Mark have commercials.

Besides, I might miss some of Rush and Mark when I turn down the “radio” when the left is on. I can’t chance that, lol.

Imagine being the owner of a radio station who's faced with the Fairness Doctrine. Could you put the lib on between 2-5 a.m. when most people are asleep and still be in compliance? Normally, shows that are money losers are replaced with something else. What happens when the lib show is a money loser? Can't replace that without either violating the Fairness Doctrine or also getting rid of the conservative who is making money. And what happens if libs think the lib broadcaster isn't liberal enough?

Complying with the Fairness Doctrine would be such a headache for the radio stations that it would be easier for them not to carry either conservative or liberal shows at all. So, they'd be replaced with shows on sports, gardening, food, movies,...

The idea is to silence the conservative voice by silencing everyone's voice on radio, while the libs still have their voice on ABCNNBCBS, NY Times, Washington Post,...
