I have been calling around and looking online for a Springfield M1A Scout-Squad .308 and a SOCOM16. Nobody has any. I knew I shouldn't of waited this long.

Oh well, I still have my trusty Bushmaster AR. I want something else, though. Either a .308 or an AK. What do you guys suggest?

Both? I bought a new DPMS Panther bull 24” and a Romanian AK47 just last week. They are both awesome. Change.gov already said that they plan on bringing back the AWB. At least Obama should be a one termer then. Idiots.

in .308? Savage makes a scout rifle in 308. Its shoots real nice too. Light weight and a forward mounted scope for easy target acquisition. My shot groups with hornady tap are 1.45 to 1.25 at 100 yards out of the box. Not too shabby. they are aroud 600 dollars without a scope.

Check out the Kel-Tec RFB in .308. Uses FN FAL magazines.

The AR seems to be the choice of a friend in the military. That will probably be the 1st class of firearm under assult by the gun grabbers. Also other firearms to be targeted for confiscation will be rifles like 30-06, 270, 223, SKS (762x39) etc. Look for this ammo to become scarce as well.
I am also hearing that reloading supplies and equipment are hot sellers because of the intent by some to tax, register, and limit ammo sales and possession.

These types of arms are believed to be on the list of prioritys based on what arms were confiscated, and what arms were allowed to be possessed in Iraq. Government believes that a revolt of the people can be severely limited by allowing only short range firearms possession.

There is still time to find what you want. But there is clearly a run on firearms above what a normal hunting season usually sells. This according to a friend who is also a dealer, and dealers at gun shows.
