McClellan: Obama Made 'No Mistakes' in Nancy-Mocking Presser
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 11/07/2008 6:48:24 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Message to Scott McClellan: when your guy's gaffe merits a screaming headline at Drudge [see after the jump] about how he's had to apologize for what he said, he's messed up. Big time. But that didn't stop Pres. Bush's former press secretary—turned Soros-paid scrivener—from going on TV and proclaiming that Obama had turned in a flawless performance in his debut presser today as president-elect.

McClellan appeared on MSNBC's "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," David Gregory's post-election vehicle taking the place of "Race for the White House." In an odd bit of balance, McClellan, who endorsed Obama, was on with former Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart. Mika Brzezinski guest-hosted for Gregory. Lockhart went first, and predictably proclaimed that Obama "made no mistakes" in his press conference today. No prize for candor, but what do you expect? Then it was McClellan's turn, and he went into parrot paradigm [with no offense to the baby red-front macaw I'm bringing home tomorrow].

I would not be surprised if we find out something about Scottie in the future that Scottie does not want us to know about.

Explain the “odd bit of balance” quote - do they know balance? Can they spell balance? If balance bit them on the butt, would they figure it out? DON’T THINK SO....

McClellan is a turncoat in my view. Unfortunately, we’ll probably see him on TV for decades—no one’s going to hire the guy. He’s disloyal and wasn’t a good press sec. anyway.

Hopefully this ludicrous joke attempt doesn’t take all the attention away from what was overall a very poor performance.

McClellan? Name sounds familiar.

General George McClellan, 1864 Democratic Presidential Party Candidate ran against his former boss, Abraham Lincoln.

Sometime I’m going to have research that family tree...seems to grow lots of nuts. Apologies to anyone on FR that happens to have that name, a few can spoil the bunch.

He reminds me of the weaselly accountant who wanted to blackmail Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight.

Compared to McClellan’s pressers, it was flawless.
