Nice graphic.

The left is really hell bent on silencing any opposition aren’t they.

“With the right in its new role as ‘the opposition,’ get ready to see an invigorated right-wing grassroots, media and organizational infrastructure.”

I wish.

For the past 5-6 years Republicans at the national level haven't been able to find their ass with both hands.

Libs have nothing to fear.

what is extreme right or far right? You know ppl like Ron Paul while anti-war is pretty far right. The farther right you go,the more you are against government intervention in anything

TV producer Norman Lear has co-signed an e-mail warning fellow liberals that with Democrats in control of Congress and the White House, the Republican Party will “take a hard turn to the extreme right.”

We don't have that kind of luck.

"Far right" is defined by how far left this country drifts.

1960's center/left is now considered far right.

I hope we go right.

Lear can’t live forever.

There’s a huge power vacuum, and a bigger ‘celebrity’ vacuum on the right. It’s sad to say, but people need ‘hip’ in their lives and Republicans now are so unhip...

The last one that fit the bill was Reagan, and I sure don’t see any Reagans around. Not even Sarah, as much as I think she’s great.

I hope he's right.

I listen to the big tent arguments all the time. While it sounds logical, what has it gotten us? Bush, McCain and the whole lot have been been embrassing the illegals, creating big gov programs and reaching across the aisle like nobodies business. The results have been crappy at best.

# Considering the popularity of Sarah Palin, who appealed to the far-right base, many will make the case that the best political strategy is a hard-line and unabashed commitment to right-wing ideology.

This is an astute observation.

We’ve been trying to fight the far left with a “moderate” right. It’s like taking a balloon to a gunfight.
