Sarah Palin's spokeswoman on Friday denied the stream of accusations leaking out of John McCain's campaign about the Alaska governor's alleged incompetence, calling the charges "sickening."
Meghan Stapleton was responding to several reports that have surfaced since Election Day about the tensions between McCain's running mate and his staff.
Campaign officials apparently had doubts about her preparedness to run for vice president.
Sources told FOX News, for instance, that Palin did not realize that Africa was a continent, not a country, and could not name the countries who had signed the North American Free Trade Agreement.

More unattributed tales pass into urban legend. You know these stories are going to be fired at Governor Palin every time her name comes up.
The left was sickened by Joe McCarthy making anonymous charges against commies. These days they could care less about anon. accusations. At least Mccarthy was correct.
There are two big problems with this so-called story:
1. The fact that it was either made-up by scumbag McCain staffers to try to scapegoat her for their own mistakes
2. The fact that Carl Cameron and Fox News were the willing mouthpieces for unproven, anonymous gossip that turned out to not even have a basis in fact.
The staffers should be identified so they will be unemployable in any future campaigns.
And Cameron and his enablers at Fox should become unemployed, period.
Has John McCain responded publicly yet to speak against the attacks on Sarah?
It shouldn’t be too hard to figure out who these “anonymous” sources are. Quite simply, only a tool would hire one of them in the future.
As Alaskas Governor, Palin is a delegate to PNWER (Pacific NorthWest Economic Region). PNWER is a public-private partnership including elected officials and private sector representatives from Alaska, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Canada (Alberta, Yukon, British Columbia) PNWER is an international collaboration on economic structures (AK Rep. Coghill). Among its many areas of focus, PNWER works to advance CANAMEX a seamless continental intermodal trade and transportation corridor (a main artery in what has been referred to in the past as the NAFTA Superhighway system).
Man, that post nails is!

Not that I have heard of. If any one has heard of this, please post.
Its just McCain being McCain.
Why bring the left into this round? This is pubbies (as per usual) eating their own.
The DemonRATS won and they are still whining.
______
This is coming from the McCain (you know, the GOP) camp, not the dems. They don’t need to pile on now, she is back in Alaska where they wanted her. This is simply GOP scapegoating.
“Why bring the left into this round? This is pubbies (as per usual) eating their own.”
I see your point, however:
1. The left is spreading the accusations (along with Fox).
2. I hate the left and everything they stand for.
Thanks, was just wondering if I missed it.
Any respect I have for McCain is leaving as each hour passes without his PUBLICLY saying the attacks are false and he is against it.
Anyone who believes that BS about Palin not knowing Africa was a continent is just stupid.
And this entire mess is beyond petty.
How much money did/does it cost Hillary for her pantsuits?
How much have the Obamas spent on their clothes?
