I still can’t believe how stupid the Republican voters were for giving McC the nomination.

The Pubs should have learned from the "Old Man Dole" disaster. They've got to stop pushing out old Repubs waiting in the wings for "their turn" to run.

=============================================

AS IS SEE IT McC surrendered his campaign to The Everything-For-Us-Nothing-For-Conservatives crowd. ......dominated by kicking to the curb the party's crucial conservative base, and, religious cleansing of the Repub Party. McC could not comprehend (and/or did not particularly care) his associations were a huge turnoff to the crucial conservative base.

ACADEMY AWARD FOR BEST ELECTION NIGHT ACT Smirking little puke-jerk---Fox pundit Billy Kristol---putting on his old reliable "I Know Nothing About This Republican Disaster" act.

AS FREEPER TADSLOS COGENTLY POSTED: "People forget that candy-ass Kristol, and his crony, metro-sexual Brooks are the original makeover artists for McCain post-2000. They are McC's original groomers and media switch operators. For Kristol to be urging McCain (to fire his staff as McC's numbers dived) to start all over at the 11th hour belies how ill conceived, advised, equipped and poorly managed McC's campaign continued to be. But then, I expect as much from a Republican candidate made up from Kristol’s and Brooks’ bolt of whole cloth."

THE GHOULIANI/LIEBERMAN TURNOFF Conservatives were incensed that McCain allowed himself to be duped by conservative-hating pukeneos and RINOS (making the same mistakes as Bush). The sight of pukeneo stooges and gay/abortion worshippers---Lieberman and RINO Rooty Ghouliani---dominating McC was nauseating. The idea that these suckers would be active and visible in our government for another 4-8 years was a huge turnoff for conservatives.

Your original comment was "...romney had the support of most of FR. That will not happen again."

I don't think *most* of FR supported him at all. Some of the ad hominem attacks were quite vicious.

I have to go to the day job now.

“Picking Sarah Palin as his running mate was McCain’s first and last smart move. Other than that, McCain’s campaign was much like the rest of his political career – equivocal, hesitant, passionless and lacking any real focus or genuine commitment to principles.”

I agree totally! McCain lost the election all by himself. He could have won if he really was a true conservative, but he just couldn't even act like one much less be one. And now McCain is silent while the media is going on and on saying Sarah was the cause of his loss according to unnamed sources in McCain's camp! Simple conclusion: McCain/RNC used Sarah and then let her get trashed without a word of support. Wouldn't it be fun to see a vote from all the 56,000,000 Americans we voted with choose between McCain vs Palin? I believe the result would be nice for McCain and the RNC to see. Something like 55,999,990 to 10. But wait, want to make sure my numbers are correct. Does McCain have more than 10 family members?

It is time to move on and continue to fight for real conservative candidates and I am ready to start now! and

Romney was no economics guru. He was for all the bailouts. His health care plan was like hillary’s.

Not saying Romney is perfect, but at least he can articulate and promote the conservative philosophy which connects with people.

Besides, Obama voted bailout. McCain voted bailout. Hillary voted bailout.

Warren Buffett wanted bailout, as did 95% of politicians.

So that issue is moot.

As for the health care, Romney did NOT propose a health coverage mandate in his Mass plan. It was injected by his 85% Dem legislature.

Who CARES what Obama would have said about Romney. They said the same things about Reagan, and GWB, and EVERY REPUBLICAN!!!

Don't you remember?

Listen, most American voters want a president with charisma, charm, and yes.... they like tall men. Check the stats.

McCain was short, frumpy, sounded like a broken tin horn stuck on b-flat notes....

Romney has grown more conservative over the years. What the heck is wrong with that??

So have I.

If the GOP keeps rejecting good and decent conservative candidates out of some sense that they might have made an erroneous statement or two 15 years ago, then we will NEVER have another good candidate.

Lastly, Romney probably would have chosen a MORE conservative VP choice like Sarah Palin, and that would have satisfied hard line Romney haters.

Bottom line: Romney is light years better at projecting, explaining, and promoting the exact strong defense, conservative economic message this country needs ---- and he doesn't have frumpy looks, yellow teeth, and he doesn't bore everyone to tears like McCain, GWB and Dole before him.

Like someone else said on another forum, the only thing I ever want to hear from McCain is a big, “I was a fool who wrongly thought pandering to the Democrats was the way to go. I was wrong, and I am sorry.”

I though I'd crackup when McC whined on TV, "Obama broke his promise to me" (about campaign finance).

Un-figging-believable that McC actually believed a Dem would keep his promise.

Even worse, McC did not comprehend his public griping made him look like a naive tool of Obama. Not a very inspiring presidential picture there.

I sometimes wish there was an extra line under the candidate's name so that voters could write in why they are voting for him and why they are not.

Except I'd need about 10 lines to tell McC.

Long article for an easy explanation. McCain’s past is his past and we praise him for that but now McCain is just an old weeny rino. We need to clean the weenies out of leadership positions in the republican party and bring in the hot blood.

Socialist fascist Romney (to the Left of Obama) imposed his socialistic/fascist HillaryCARE=RomneyCARE without a vote
just like his imposed Gay Marriage (when he violated, and micturated, on the Massachusetts Constitution).

Romney wiped out Massachusetts.

The five states with least favorable business climates are Califorinia (lowest ranking), New York, Michigan, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Romney was rated a "C" overall by Cato, also because he betrayed President Bush. Here are the facts.

As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal.

Yes. In another time, we wouldn’t have been running against a young, black, attractive, articulate, and hip candidate. That’s why a 72 year old man didn’t help. Not to mention he was not a conservative.

How the GOP did not see this is what really amazes me.

Juan McLiberal will now try to regain his status as MSNBC’s favorite Republican by being 0bama’s lap dog in the Senate. He will support 0bama’s agenda perhaps even more than the Democrats.

He couldn’t talk about experience after picking Palin.

Drop the inexcusable Palin bashing ari-freedom.

Quit parrotting the left in your attempt to slime Palin.

Palin had more experience than Obama, and she was wise enough to make the right decisions in every situation.

Your behavior is less than gentlemanly.

From now on, the only time we’ll see McCain’s face is when Obama yawns...

I was absolutely crushed on election night. Just devastated. But now that we are a few days out, from everything I am learning, I realize I was utterly fooled by John McCain. Oh, I was skeptical from day 1- I knew he was no true conservative. But like most here I thought if we could just get them elected maybe the true conservative on the ticket, Sarah, could actually be an influence in Washington and get some good things done. At the least we’d have been safe from an Obama presidency.

But listening to Hannity’s radio show yesterday and everything else.....I gotta say, I was wrong. Those of you here who pointed out he didn’t really want to win so he could go back to the Senate and not piss off his senate buds....you were right. Those who said he wasn’t really acting like he wanted to win and thus no hard hitting on Ayers, Wright, etc. you were right.

Did we really want 4 years of this RINO faux conservative stabbing us in the back? May McCain and all other RINO bastards be thrown in the dust heap of history never to be heard from again.

We got our enema on election day. McCain will now be loved by the media even though he is on the junk pile of gutless politicians. We were forced to support him and he failed miserably. We need tough, young new leadership, not afraid to battle and defeat RATS at their own games. Unfortunately, it will probably take a cataclysmic event such as an attack, or severe recession/ depression to get us back in.

Maybe we’ll discover that we can’t compromise with an enemy which loathes us and despises everything this country used to stand for.

Spent 10 minutes over at DU and you will see how true this statement really is.

But, in the final analysis, Republicans lost because they nominated their weakest candidate.

But, in the final analysis, Republicans lost because Democrats who voted in the early Open Primaries nominated the Republican's weakest candidate.
There, fixed it.

Those who said he wasn’t really acting like he wanted to win and thus no hard hitting....

I have said all along (sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes not) that McCain SUBCONSCIOUSLY simply wanted the Republican Party to lose because .....

...because THAT would ensure that GWB's legacy goes down in historical flames. Yes, McCain's dislike and vindictiveness toward W is that great, I believe.

The Republican Party, if it had won in 2008, would easily rehabilitate the President GWB legacy by righting many of the wrongs of the past few years.

By losing, McCain has allowed the Democrat winners and leftists to completely re-write the script....

Now, I don't think McCain even realizes his motivation ... but I truly believe it is a subconscious thing inside his brain.

The human mind is very complex.
