You might want to remember the 11th commandment "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican" or it's or it's gonna be a long 4 years.

That commandment hasn't been followed around here for years.

I don't see putting for any candidate just trashing this one.

I don't think Palin has what it takes to be the leader that takes the Republican party back into power. I'm sorry, that's how I feel. I don't see that as trashing anyone.

As for who that leader is, I don't know. Could be Jindal. Could be Cantor. Will probably be someone neither of us has heard of yet. But I don't believe it will be Palin. Never have.

Sarah Palin is that kind of politician that thrives on attacks. She has the unique ability to turn the criticisms to her advantage. The more people attack her, the more popular she becomes. She is going to be like Reagan with Lipstick. She will be a two term president. Airports, bridges, roads, libraries and museums will be named after her. There will be more children named after her in the next 10 years. Go Sarah!

Ah but did she know that Africa was a continent and not a country?

Your capacity to be brainwashed with bullshit is equal to any moonbat Obamaton.

But I respect her for doing her part in trying to prop up a losing effort, but the loss is not her fault. That belongs squarely on McCain.

I think she was brough onboard to energize the base and appeal to unaffiliated voters. She most certainly did the first and failed at the second. Had McCain picked someone else then that person may have attracted some independents but may also have failed to get the base to turn out. Either way, I agree with you. The responsibility for the defeat lies with McCain. Or at worst with McCain and Palin. It was certainly not due to Palin alone, as some McCain staff are apparently trying to claim.

“I actually think the Obama campaign likes this economic chaos, just as they did during the campaign, because the more economic chaos there is, the greater opportunity for expanded government.”

As usual Rush is right as rain. FDR and his socialist, actually Marxist, Democrat allies exploited the misery of the working class during the Great Depression to bring Marxist collectivism to America, and succeeding Democrat administrations and Congresses have added more and more layers of collectivism plus a virtual landslide of liberal domestic social programs on top of FDR's foundation. Now that over half of all Americans don't pay direct taxes it will be a piece of cake for Obama and a Democrat Congress to complete the job FDR started.

Of course that 1/2-plus does pay taxes, they just don't realize it. Every time they buy anything from a quart of Colt .45 to an Escalade with gold plated wheel covers a very substantial portion of the price is comprised of layers upon layers upon layers of hidden taxes.

“She didn’t bring enough on election day, did she?”

What do you think the results would have been on election day with someone else on the ticket? Better or worse?

Like Rush said, suppose McCain would have picked liberman, you would have then had socialists running against democrats. You’re argument holds no water at all, any ticket that would have won over the dumba$$ so cold undecided (ie, dopes) wouldn’t have been a party we would want to associate with.

Obama/Biden = Socialism
McCain/Liberman = Democrats

Where are we in that formula, give me a break on this he shouldn’t have picked Sarah, go join the democratic party or become a brain dead undecided if you people feel that way .....

She didn't bring enough on election day, did she?

She brought in far more than any of the others on McCain's list would have. A million or more evangelical Christians would probably have sat this election out if she hadn't been on the ticket.

If the GOP primary voters are dumb enough to nominate another candidate as unattractive as McCain next time around he or she had better have another VP running mate as appealing as Sarah to back him or her up. If I were Sarah I wouldn't waste my time and effort trying to elect another unelectable RINO, I would shoot for the top spot or nothing. Put her in the top slot and a real conservative such as Duncan Hunter in the 2nd slot and they would blow Obama out of the water.

The vacuous psuedo-intellectuals at Media Matters and other cesspools of the liberal brain trust are having a great time believing Palin managed to get elected Governor of a state and not know continents from countries, whether Africa or North America, waltzed into hotel rooms full of men wearing nothing but a towel, and was a shopaholic diva.

It is exactly the sort of stereotype people that believe themselves too enlightened to stereotype love to believe.

Palin has already remarked on this in press conferences and radio interviews since returning to Alaska. It is bullshit.

But, as evidenced on Nov. 4th, bullshit sells.

Without Sarah, many more would have stayed home. The same crowd that stayed home in 2006 to teach the GOP a “Lesson” couldnt pull the handle for McCain. It had nothing to do with Sarah. It wasnt her job to carry the ticket. She rallied people and brought in more money than anybody else could have. The problem is the Republicans are too busy cutting each others throats to try to get ahead. Look what Romneys staff did to Sarah. We will continue to lose elections, until the GOP runs real conservatives and learns to play as a team.

Here, motivation is (as it so often is elsewhere) of primary importance. As the premise stated, above, is patently a risible one to any serious, objective observer over the either the mental or chronological age of two, the logical questions then become who stands to benefit most from the relentless parroting of such idiocies; and, more importantly, why?

Ponder these, for more than a moment or two, and the obvious answers to both should readily present themselves. ;)

I guess I’ll jump in for the abuse as well.

Sorry folks, she’s a very weak candidate.

She’s a perfect American and I really love’er, but she is about half the public speaker that GW Bush is, and that’s not the greatest.

I’m not even sure why people keep blasting any stated opposition to her as coming from Rinos. I have not seen evidence of her adherence to the right. For example, is she more closely aligned in her beliefs to Duncan Hunter or Rudy Guliani? Which would she agree with more on policy?

I simply do not know.

The Secret Service agents flanking Palin made me smile. Total badasses. Especially the one on the right, who looks strangely like Agent Smith from The Matrix.
