>>All the candidates that ran for the GOP presidential nomination except for Ron Paul and that’s because he’s from another planet.

Ron Paul is looking pretty good to me right now!
Fred Thompson wasn’t a RINO, was he?

Yes he was. He served his purpose in the primaries...to rid the roster of any real conservative. When the last one left the race, so did he.

Let me ammend my opinion from above.

If you’re a RINO, even in a blue state, and you’re an embarrassment (i.e. become the liberal media’s go-to “consertive” to bash fellow conservatives, double i.e. Specter) good riddance.

You do more harm than good.

SUSAN COLLINS - ME OLYMPIA SNOW - ME

And just what would you propose be done about these two?

Your choices are:

1) Replace them with communists.

2) Support their reelection.

To save time and bandwidth, start here:
Republican Main Street Partnership

From there try this list:
Senate Centrist Coalition

From there do a little research on:
The Third Way
- AND -
The Shadow Party

Guess what name is affiliated with all of them?

I think the bail out vote should not be a litmus test for these guys... for some of them, however, it is one more straw on an already over burdened camel’s back

There’s no need in identifying RINOs since the entire Republican party has simply morphed into the RINO party. The only ones that need to be identified are the ones who are not part of the “good old boy” network and who don’t “go along to get along”.

Very few exist and I don’t think the name list would be over 10.

Many years ago, us conservatives lost total representation in our governmental process. This election proves the point.

The Republican party is too tainted with career “lifers” who are only interested in getting wealthy, experiencing ego orgasms, or the adoration of Lemmings that will follow them no matter what. The party can’t be changed, it’s rotten to the core. We must now seek another party that will actually represent the people who put them into power.

The only reason that the Marxists have taken over all aspects of our government is due to the two party system. Over the years both parties have made their positions safe by assuring that the cost of both legal tangles and financing make it impossible for any new party to even challenge or present a threat to them. If we had a three or four party system it would be impossible to have a total takeover of our government by any one of them.

Four years from now, if there is not another strong party to represent conservatives (and the Republicans will never be that party) it’s over and democracy and freedom will be a long forgotten (and unwritten) chapter of this country’s saga.

The next time you hear someone say “if you don’t vote Republican you are wasting your vote”, simply say “if I vote Republican instead of voting for another party I am a fool and continue to vote for those who have no intention in representing conservatism.”

You make a good point.

I think what Reagan did, and what we need to do, is convince voters that agree with us on 70% of issues (or even 51%) that they should vote with us.

We should not try to be all things to all people, but stand firm to true Conservative priciples and convince enough voters that we are enough things to the.

For example, if a voter agrees with us on security and economics, but disagrees on social issues and abortion, we convince THEM to compromise on the 30% that they disagree with us on.

Hunter's support among Republican (REPUBLICAN!) primary voters: 2%

The same "Republicans" who nominated John McCain.

If this (picking a 'RINO moderate') is what it means to be Republican, count me out.

>When the last one left the race, so did he.

What was really frustrating is that by the time the PA primary rolled around, everyone had dropped out but McCain and Paul (I voted for Paul).
