1. Bailout. $700 Billion. And when people called his office to express their views while the debate was going on, he shut down his office and sent all the calls to voicemail.
2. Amnesty. Cornyn is for illegal alien amnesty.

What’s to like there????

“Amnesty. Cornyn is for illegal alien amnesty.”

From his speeches as senator, I would disagree. He has been on the Mark Davis show several times expressing a very stand against illegal immigration. He even voted against the McCain/Bush shamesty. Granted he supported creating a easier to get Work Visa and supported the idea of giving those already here working a short term Working Visa and sending the others back. That may not meet the approval of everybody on the Right, but it was far right from McCain’s or most of the Senates position on the issue.

As to the bailout. (shrugs) What are you going to do? I doubt Noriega (how could anybody vote for guy with that name) would of done anything different.

I sent Cornyn a nasty note after the bailout, yelling that I was going to vote Liberterian. The race tightened a bit, so when came to brass tacks, I just couldn’t do it.

How? Crrnyn is the stand-up guy who introduced the Cornyn amendment to expose the extremists on the issue. Remember the Cornyn amendment?

Here are the Senators who voted against the Cornyn amendment , which would have established a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals looking to snag a shamnesty visa. Republicans underlined:

John Kyl can be given a pass because he was the designated procedural vote (a technicality which would allow him to reintroduce the amendment in a conference committee version). Norm Coleman is not on that list.
