Byron York, Jen Rubin, and Michelle Malkin all have smart takes on the McCain aides' smearing of Sarah Palin. The Anchorage Daily News has a couple videos of Sarah Palin talking to the press after arriving back in Alaska, and it looks like she's more than capable of defending herself, if she thought it was worth her time. Regarding the leaks against her, Palin said:
“If they’re an unnamed source, then that says it all. I won’t comment on anybody’s gossip, or allegations that are based on anonymous sources. That’s kind of a small, evidently bitter type of person who would anonymously charge something foolish like that, that I perhaps didn’t know an answer to a question.
“So until I know who was talking about it, I won’t have a comment on false allegations.”

But we have FOUR YEARS minimum, of an Obama Presidancy.

Well, I’m getting more than a little sick of BOR and his acting as if he’s the center of the universe: If only McCain had gone on his show, the result might have been different .. that appearing on ‘The Factor’ helped Obama, etc.
Still, Gov Palin has to make her own defense soon or she will be permanently Quayled. And I hope Sen. McCain comes out and makes a very strong, powerful statement in her defense.
The McCain campaign staffers who did this to her should never find gainful employment again.

I understand that. However, this baliout issue coming so close to an election was not a fluke, imo. This was orchestrated. We have only to look who the players were to understand that. The House tried to stop and the Senate did an end around on them. The whole thing sucked to high heaven.
My point regarding the Supreme Court is that there is more leaverage because they cannot hide their votes, sotospeak, and there will be time to see who they are.

All I’m saying is that this b.s. effort to smear Sarah Palin with the loss must be stopped in its tracks. It is a battle of the present FOR the future, b/c if the RINOs succeed on this one then Palin will have no national future AND anyone with similar conservative views will be smeared in the future as unelectable etc.
Defending Sarah Palin IS a critical battle for the present and future of the conservative movement.
It's a deliberate tactic and not a very subtle one.
And we know who orchestraded what.
