A family of Barack Obama supporters awakened this morning to find a burned 6-foot cross on the front lawn of their home in northern Warren County, police said. The charred cross was partly wrapped with a homemade congratulatory banner that declared "President Obama Victory '08" and had been stolen from the lawn the night before, police said.

I will not listen to any more “stories” about WHITE racists.
The Black Man has won the POTUS! Move On!
Now, I will be looking for more Black On White crime stories, as they are the Racist Stories. You see, the black man now has power over the white man, therefore the white man cannot be a racist.
Fair turn, Jack!!!

No kidding! Without it, Al and Jessie will be without a job. Also, they have to keep the racism meme going to deflect any criticism of Obama when his inexperience and lie start to show.

No, I think white trash is alive and well and will make some attempts.
That said, being white trash, they are, by definition stupid, lazy, uneducated, heavily tatooed, and generally loud-mouthed buffoons.
Ergo, they will fail.

There were far more "Hang 'em High" posts that day than there were "probable hoax" posts. Probably exactly the inverse of the posts on this thread. If you disagree, I suggest that you are flaunting your obvious status as sub-literate.

U saw that. Never mind that they have had an arsonist setting fires for weeks in the area, they want to call it a hate crime against blacks. If in fact it is agenda driven as an act, this is much more likely the agenda involved!

Has the arsonist been putting up 6 feet crosses elsewhere?

Hang WHO high? There was no suspect in the “robbery/mutilation” case. There was a report that didn’t pass muster with the police or media from the get go.
There were other cases of arson and vandalism that did not get national attention. But that one did from the very beginning. And even the Obama campaign spoke out against “what happened” to that woman.
The media also reported later that she did it to herself (like a day later they covered that aspect). They were less willing to report that she was a former Ron Paul campaign staffer (who’d been pulling dirty tricks against Republicans).
That same week, a man was CONVICTED of plotting to firebomb the RNC convention. It was treated as a “local only” story. It NEVER MADE THE WIRE SERVICES. Wonder why. Actually, no I don’t.

Sounds like the girl at the ATM to me... attention getter. But if it is true it is despicable. A stunt like this would not change anything about the election so why would anyone do it. Those supporters will have enough of a headache when they see what Obama will do to this nation.

I live in Tennessee, not far from either the birthplace of Nathan Bedford Forrest AND the birthplace of the KKK.
Here, you may see a few Confederate Battle Flags, but never a Confederate Bonnie Blue Flag, the official flag of the Confederacy. You will see an American Flag flying on my front porch. In photos I have seen of early KKK rallies, there were NO flags of any description.
Also, Forrest quit the KKK whenever he saw what it was being turned into.

That you do makes you, as I said, an idiot.

I guess my memories being different from yours makes me "sub-literate."
How will I manage to carry on?!

No, when I said that, I was referring to raccoonradio’s post, about the church.

I thought Black Churches were only supposed to burn when Republicans win? Finally! It took over 50 posts before someone remembered the black churches of Clinton Days. Thank you. I was good and read through the posts before I was going to mention it.

This simply doesn't look like the doings of the KKK. With them, there isn't much point in burning the cross if the event isn't seen and the people aren't terrified during the act. I grew up in a rural area pretty darn close to Birmingham, Al in the 1960's -- and, believe me, I've seen the things that the Klan has done. I thought men in white hoods handing out fliers in 'town' on Saturday morning was something that was done everywhere.
The photographs in the full story at the link look like a person or group just trying to stir up tensions, maybe even a hoax.
