News has been circulating around GOP insiders for weeks that McCain campaign honchos Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt were planning to blame Sarah Palin for McCains loss. This was expected to be an effort to punt the blame for their own failures to the side of the ticket that was most popular with the base, attracted the largest rally crowds, and scared the living bejeepers out of the opposing party.

There are a lot of American people that are quit as dumb as we thought. It's not as bad as we think. We could start a very good opposition with the 55 million that voted McCain. I'm sure a majority of the McCain votes were Pro-Sarah and anti-Obama and not Pro-McCain.
I think the people in the rust belt need to clean out locally and then maybe then can have real election.
You signed up two weeks ago. It’s not like you’re losing seniority if sign up again with a new name.
This is like tying your dog up to the far end of your house; he barks and bays loudly while burglars successfully ransack the contents. You ignored him while he tried to warn you, but you kick the dog anyway because your stuff was stolen.
Maybe Davis and Schmidt can get a job on the 2012 Hussein Campaign.
Palin brought out the Republican base, but that’s simply not enough to win an election.
McCain/Palin got 6 million fewer votes this election than Bush/Cheney got in 2004...despite a 12% increase in the number of people who voted.
No matter how you spin it, McCain was a weak choice for president, and Palin was an even weaker choice for VP.
If there was so much concern about turning out the Republican base, then Duncan Hunter or Mike Pence would have been better choices. But McCain decided that he wanted a woman, and he wanted a “maverick”, and he took Palin. I won’t say that it cost him the election because I believe the election was “unwinnable” once the financial market crashed. But she certainly didn’t bring McCain 20 million votes that he wouldn’t have gotten with any of a number of other conservatives.
Email the RNC. Get something started. We need to clean out the entire skunk’s nest that is McCain’s people and any one else not conservative. Time to start now to get rid of the RINOS.
I’ve been listening to Rush all afternoon, he doesn’t believe this crap. He’s defending Sarah against the RINO’s who don’t want to see her(or any other true conservative) in control of the GOP.

Replace the RINOs where we can with conservatives then work on getting rid of the Democrats.
Hold it, Randy Schuenemann stood up for Palin against the snipers. The point of Frum’s article was that it was Nicolle Wallace who was spreading the rumors. Don’t blame Schuenemann.
Even with Palin, his weak and ridiculous response was laughable.
Had he come out on the same side of 85% of the public that was against the bailout he would have won in a land slide.
At that moment he showed again what he is, a RINO at best and not quite the maverick he thinks he is.
Sorry, a few of you may have misunderstood a previous post. I meant that Rush and Beck are reporting the rumors, and that they believe these rumors ARE being spread by McCain staff. I wasn’t saying they believe the rumors are true, but my post wasn’t clear.
Hussein’s campaign would’ve withered against the onslaught of a campaign run by Lee Atwater. Too bad he isn’t with us anymore.
Mr. Tom Cole sent me a thanks - as have a number of others - for the help I gave this year. I admit the first year I’ve ever contributed to a campaign. This has been my standard reply:
Dear Tom and the rest of you RNC yahoos,
I didn’t support the Republican party. I supported the ticket that was more anti-big government, more anti-socialist and had the best chance to win....McCain-Palin.
Had the “party” when it was in power in both wings of Congress and the Presidency actually practiced the platform of small government and anti-corruption that is professed perhaps you wouldn’t be in the position you are now.
I abhor all of you politicians who speak in forked tongues and Animal Farm phraseology. Damn you all to hell for failing to uphold our Constitution when you had the chance. I foresee decades of big government largesse built upon the backs of myself, my family, and my friends due to your inability to uphold your sworn duty and failure to meet your word.
Edmund Burke stated, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” I did my part. The Republican Party did nothing - except to further individuals petty power hunger.
I remember why I am an independent: both major parties continue to fail the citizens of this country over and over. Do you remember why your a Republican?
I didn’t hear one campaigner challenge anyone about “the money” and “the taxes” and the fact that it isn’t the government’s. IT’S OURS!! IT’S THE CITIZENS! To hell with the government! To hell with you and your party! Everyone in DC and every state capitol is a crook in my mind!
I only hope that your failures, incompetence, arrogance, and graft haven’t already destroyed this nation beyond repair.
See if they get any more from me in the future.
