Strains Between McCain and Palin Aides Go Public

Report: Palin's Wardrobe Is to Be Audited by GOP

Now that the defeated team of Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin have gone their separate ways, the knives are out and Palin is the one who is getting filleted.

Revelations from anonymous critics from within the McCain-Palin campaign suggest a number of complaints about the Alaskan governor:

Fox News reports that Palin didn't know Africa was a continent and did not know the member nations of the North American Free Trade Agreement -- the United States, Mexico and Canada -- when she was picked for vice president.

The New York Times reports that McCain aides were outraged when Palin staffers scheduled her to speak with French President Nicholas Sarkozy, a conversation that turned out to be a radio station prank.

Newsweek reports that Palin spent far more than the previously reported $150,000 on clothes for herself and her family.

Several publications say she irked the McCain campaign by asking to make her own concession speech on election night.

The tension is likely to continue or get worse. Lawyers for the Republican National Committee are heading to Alaska to try to account for all the money that was spent on clothing, jewelry and luggage, according to The New York Times.

Those in the GOP that support this trashing of Palin need to go down. It is obvious we need to rebuild the party. If they had any sense at all they would be supporting her as one of the up and coming stars. They want RINOS and they will stop at nothing to keep pushing RINOS down our throats. We need to send them packing. I have to go to work- but can someone post a list of numbers to call and let us know how we can get rid of the dead weight at the top?

3. Sarah Palin went to 5 different colleges and has a 4 year degree. Going to 5 diffrent colleges in four years, just like having 5 different jobs in four years, is usually considered a Red Flag.

I probably didn't make the point clear enough. You would have figured that 5 different colleges would have taught that Africa is a continent.

Do you remember my railing on McCain last month for being a MF’ing RINO? Now you know why. This guy is a POS that is nothing more that a blight on the republican party. It was an accident that he was ever our nominee and the only reason he received more that 50 million votes is because of Sarah Palin.

Arlen “the magic bullet” Specter is and has always been a turd,

Jean Hill, witness of the JFK shooting. Met with old Arlen in Dallas in 1963 when he was working for the Warren Commission. She went in thinking it was going to be about what she witnessed. A mysterious man running up the steps, she heard 4 to 6 shots.

All Arlen wanted to talk about was her sex life and went after her credibility.

Sarah needs to run for Senate as an Independent. She’d win in a walk.

While she probably would win, the atmosphere in DC in the near future, with Big Zero and The Democrats Dance Troupe win, is poison.

Sarah Palin is a true conservative, a fresh face, a plain-spoken leader.

I would rather watch her continue to govern Alaska and maybe even run for re-election (if she's not term-limited, not sure of Alaska law on that); and re-enter the field of candidates closer to 2012.

If she went to DC before then, she would end up covered with the soil and smell from the RINOs around her.

Not really ~ her attendance at different colleges makes sense. It had a lot to do with what she could afford, what was available, and where the schools were located.

BTW, time to catch up with the times. MOST everybody who ever graduates with a four year degree attends a community college for at least one or two years, or to take special courses not available elsewhere at the time needed.

Many people with advanced degrees have attended several universities. Although I only attended one school for my AB (my degree is written in Latin, unlike the plebian degrees from the run of the mill schools), I obtained graduate training at George Washington U (DC), Indiana University (Bloomington IN), and University of Virginia. I was recruited by but did not attend both Columbia and Harvard Law (Obama's shools).

So, what was that 5 schools? I either attended or I was actively recruited for them.

That's hardly a red flag for anything. In fact, it means I'm pretty bright and you aren't!

Unless she was putting herself through college and had to come up with the funds herself.

This is why the GOP can no longer be the home of conservatives.

We need to start a new party for conservatives.

Where is the criticism of McCain and his weak-kneed fight and debate performances? His poor judgment on campaign issues?

No, let’s skewer the one reason that the electoral map wasn’t almost completely BLUE on Tuesday night, the conservative who drew tens of thousands to campaign rallies.

Sarah singlehandedly took on a bumbling campaign and worked her heart out. She was worth 10,000,000 votes for McCain.

And the loss is her fault?

The GOP is stuck on stupid. And you can’t fix stupid.

There’s no excuse for this Palin bashing,

And McCain’s silence is speaking volumes.

Time to make history, and to start fresh.

All that this is, is some of McCain’s staff and consultants, who are some the biggest losers in the world, trying to save their reputations by scapegoating Sarah.

These people ran an impotent campaign and lost the election. If it were not for Sarah Palin, it wouldn’t have even been a race.

The biggest problem is that the Republicans ran a glue-horse instead of a race-horse.

A quote I found on the net:

“For the longshot glue horse, there is no lucrative future after the race is over, no green pastures, just the glue factory. Lets face it, no matter how hard he runs the future is bleak, the world will pass him by. At least until some elementary school teacher scalds little Bobby to stop eating what’s left of Longshot.”

I am seeking digital photos of Sarah Palin for a new web site I am setting up in appreciation of her. These need to be available for use without copyright restrictions - preferably taken by those who own the photos and who are willing to grant permission for their use.

Please send me a private message and I will provide an e-mail address.

ATTENTION!

Please, everyone who is as offended by this load of crap as I am, and if you contributed to the McCain Compliance Fund, demand a refund!

I contacted them this morning, expressing my frustration with the latest turn of events, and demanded a full and immediate refund of my $100 contribution. They are providing a refund.

HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS!

The contact is Susan Nelson, National Finance Director, at snelson@mccain08hq.com.

This is disgraceful and petty!

I expect some of McCain's advisors to be working for Obama in the upcoming weeks. That's how they roll.

This bunch of yahoos had better not ask me for any money. Carrying on like this publicly is just wrong. If there were problems, they should be settled privately.

Frankly, I only got interested in McCain after Palin joined the ticket and I only voted for him because he was running against Obama and had the best chance to defeat him of anyone else. He’s always struck me as being a RINO at best and dull as dishwater, too. Palin got attention and definitely brightened up the ticket.

In my opinion, she gave it her best shot and stood firm and on message. Unfortunately, it was not enough. In my opinion, Palin was the only reason that McCain got any attention and for that, the people trashing her should be grateful for the attention she brought with her.

If it turns out that Romney or his surrogates are behind this, they can forget my vote or support down the road. This behavior is reprehensible. Whoever is behind this venomous mess needs to go to the democrats who would probably welcome their return.

I probably didn't make the point clear enough. You would have figured that 5 different colleges would have taught that Africa is a continent.

My point, however, is that if a person is jumping from job to job or from college to college, the reason is often the fact that they are having difficulties.

To an employer, five jobs in 4 years is a huge Red Flag. In education, it is also a huge Red Flag.

Unless her transcripts are released, we will never know what the truth is.

What worries me is that there seems to be a developing "Cult of Personality" surrounding Sarah Palin. Just because somebody is conservative, lovable and cute does not necessarily mean that she is a rational choice for the Presidency.

When you cannot handle Katie "Colonoscopy on TV" Couric basic questions such as, "name some newspapers and magazines you read for your world view input", you will have a MAJOR problem being taken seriously by the majority of voters in America that are not card carrying members of the Sarah Palin Fan Club.

Any regular poster on FR could have rattled off the Washington Post, the Washington Times, the New York Times, the New york Post, the National Review, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian (U.K.), etc., etc.

Palin gave me the impression that she, indeed does NOT read very much in regards to foreign affairs and was much less informed than scores of regular posters on Free Republic.

They want to ruin the chances of a Palin run again..

This is totally what it is all about. 'They' are terrified of Sarah. And people who keep posting this tripe on FR are aiding and abetting them. Destroy, diminish, demoralize. It's working so far.

Thank goodness McCain’s presidential aspirations are in the past. We will have at least two more years of watching his aisle crossing treachery, but he is a nightmare of the past. The losers who promoted and worked for him are worried about future jobs with loser, RINO candidates. If the conservative base comes back, the losers will become bottom tier, Democrat lackeys.

She didn’t buy the clothes a**hat. The RNC bought them for her. BTW, she gave back most of the clothes before the campaign was over, she didn’t want them, she had her own. All this crap about her clothes and all the BS are just lies. The RNC has turned into left wing pu**ies and needs to be purged. I, for one, have decided to register as Independent from now on. I will still be conservative but I am ashamed to carry the brand of Republican after the disgraceful way they conduct themselves and this baseless trashing of a true conservative.

We must beware of accusing innocent people of perfidy. Where is McCain on this? If he hadn't picked Palin he might have been the first candidate since the nation became fifty states to lose EVERY state.

I plan to send Palin a letter suggesting she ought to put together a team to see if 2012 is the right year to assume the colors for the Republican Party and develop a strategy.

If Obama presides as the Stalinist we all expect, 2012 will be the time for for change.
