How's that big tent looking for the GOP today, eh?
With the Republican left out in force sliming Sarah Palin today, we desperately need to keep a record of these treacherous, back-biting vipers who are right now trying to destroy the one good thing to emerge for conservatives during this election cycle.
With any luck, this list can serve as an archive of the traitors in our midst who should NEVER get any support from Conservatives again. With these folks in our ranks, the conservative movement will never make any progress.
The purge should begin right now.
TOPICS: News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: 2008; 2008election; 2012; leperlist; mccain; sarah; sarahpalin; traitors; turncoats; weasellist

What if Sarah Palin really did not know that South Africa was not a continent but a countryWhat silliness.
Did you fall for the swapped baby rumor as well?

As far as "Joke Republican party's go: I live in NJ, and they couldn't or wouldn't find a viable candidate to go against LAUTENBERG.
Dick Zimmer was not the answer.
Let's face it, any of us who live in states with large urban areas will always be behind enemy lines.

Be a good little robot, you have no right to free thought and speech, funny I thought conservatives thought free speech and thought was best answered by free speech and thought. But then that doesn't apply to people that know where Africa is.

You know, I think Carl Cameron did us a favor. Letting more conservatives know how snarky the campaign handlers are tells us what we need to know about psuedo conservatives.
To: mquinn
Palin did not elevate this campaign in any meaningful way.Cut me a break. McCain would have been beaten far worse without Palin. McCain was basically screwed when the financial crisis escalated in September.

then let them go their way." That is exactly right: let them go their way. DO what is right. Stand for conservative values.
The ends is not everything, however; methods matter as well. Purges are methods of the Nazis and Communists. Be above that.

What if Sarah Palin really did not know that South Africa was not a continent but a country, or which countries were in NAFTA? I'd like to see actual proof of it rather than hearsay that came from who knows where?
I'm not supporting Palin for 2012, but she put up a good fight, is a fine, decent woman considering these awful times. I hope better things are in store for her and those who treated her like trash get in spades what they dished out.

Well, prominent Romney-ites have been named above (Madden and Parker).I cannot find the quotes from Kevin Madden and I don't know who "Parker" is. I have never heard Kevin Madden say anything negative about Palin. I heard him interviewed and he pointed out the obvious weaknesses but then went on to say why Plain's strengths outweighed the negatives.
I had some early concerns about Palin before she was nominated and we were discussing potential VP choices but I was not negative; just being honest about the liabilities. Once she was selected I fully supported the choice and it was my perception that Mitt Romney and his supporters did the same.
How is bashing Romney any more helpful than those bashing Palin? I think we need to remember the 11th Commandment.

How is rumor-mongering and personal attacks "free speech and thought?" Did you just fall off the turnip truck yesterday?
But then that doesn't apply to people that know where Africa is.
I'll mark you down as another idiot.

Does anyone doubt that if McCain had come out strongly against this bailout we would be celebrating Vice President Elect Palin? I believe if McCain had over the last 6 years repeatedly warned from the Senate floor that the mortgage/easy money/drunken sailor spending crisis was coming, then opposed the bailout, then Yes it would be VP Palin.

We must rebuild the major league team from the minor leagues.Kind of tough to do when the Republican leadership is systematically undermining any attempt to do so. They have been governing as democrat-lite, but getting votes on Reagan's ghost since GHWB.

I don’t disagree with you. I just wanted to know whether he actually chimed in the bashing. Rumors fly heavily here, who said what when... a lot of anonymous BSing in the MSM.

For exactly this reason, we should support her even more strongly. I will always support her, but not for 2012, maybe something else. She did not deserve this, and whatever she may be lacking, I hope it backfires bigtime.

why are you starting a list which is just a duplicate of the redstate.com leper list?
We have more than enough vanities her with this stuff.

red state at least is looked at by the MSM.
Freerepublic.com is blockaded.

Knock it off. Those folks who exist in our ranks only to undercut us at vital moments must be kicked out of the party if we want to have any chance of moving forward and winning again.
You may recall that Nazi and Communist purges are generally carried out with heavy weapons. In our case, the RNC just needs to stop providing office space to these children of Judas and we conservatives need to stop supporting them full stop.

The truth is that if we put any of the current bunch of Republican windbags back in congress we have lost our collective minds. They are one of the big reasons that we lost the election to Obama and the Democrats. Even the sheeple recognize a loser when they see one. For example, the John Martha types should never be in congress, neither should the limp wrist set that ogles the Pages. Republican Congressmen should at least have the respect of there peers as well as people they represent, even if they disagree with what they say.

"McCain selection was, presumably, to appeal to centrists, and therefore move votes from the dem column to the rep column." Which really worked well, din't it??
"The people who have championed refusal to vote for McCain split his conservative base. Palin worked by partially fixing that damage caused by the Republican version of PUMAs."
And I submit that the presence of Palin on the ticket brought ALL of those back, plus more, including some of those "PUMAs". McCain would have lost in a deluge without Palin. I know of no other Republican of note that could have had the electrifying effect that she did.
To: Antoninus
That’s ok, you landed in the nut category after the first sentence. I don't recall requirements for speech in the constitution.
