Wow -that is some savage cutting & gutting that Nicole Wallace has just performed upon Sarah Palin. Nicole & I crossed swords once, during the Harriet Miers nomination battle. Watching what Nicole can do when she is seriously annoyed, I am grateful that I got away from that fight with nothing worse than a few bumps and bruises ....
That said: Some of these stories do not ring quite true to me, especially the story about Palin allegedly not realizing that Africa was a continent rather than a country. Apparently she did not grasp that "South Africa" was not the same thing as "southern Africa." But there a lot of possible innocent explanations for a mistake like that.

LOL!
Good point. re: Why should we believe Frum?
Very good post.
Anyone else wondering where John McCain is while Sarah Palin is being blamed for HIS MISTAKES?
Oh...sorry...Palin is a Republican, and as such, McCain doesn’t care if she gets trashed.
All this crap sounds like petty, jealous, bitchy woman stuff. I despise the Soririty girl mentality in grown women.
If Nicole is the leaker, I hope she gets ceremoniously led to the door of the Democrats. That’s were she belongs.
If this is Nicole Wallace making up these stories, then I believe Carl Cameron is her water boy, delivering these statements on nationwide tv.
So she’s a SeeBS political consultant? That explains everything.
No Republican should go near any of these people from McCain’s campaign. They leaked like rusty buckets and said all sorts of stupid things to the press (e.g., the comment about if they talk about the economy, they’ll lose) and gave up before it was over. Losers.
I don't know if Sarah really didn't know Africa wasn't a country, but I do know that McCain didn't know that Czechoslovakia broke into the Czech Republic and Slovakia years ago.
I am dissappointed in Cameron. He has been so careful about using “alleged” and “supposed” when talking about campaign scuttlebutt during the whole election and basically said this crap over Palin was true.
Where are your journalistic standards, Cameron?
Palin, Obama, and Biden baseball test administered by the media.
To test the candidates, Palin ,Biden and Obama are each placed in a possible baseball situation. Mccain is excused.
Obama is in a little league game with the pitcher 10 feet away and throwing underhand. Obama misses the 1st two pitches but foul tips the 3rd. The media claims he is ready for the Major Leagues.
Biden is at a tee-ball game. He misses the tee completely on his 1st two swings and in a bit fustration, knocks over the tee on his third swing. The media says,”that’s just Joe being Joe” and send him to the Dodgers to team up with Manny.
Palin is placed in Yankee stadium, in a Red Sox jersey,in front of 50,000 bleacher creatures, faces Mariano Rivera , with 2 strikes already on her and the Bosox down 4-3 in the top of the ninth. She hits the tying homerun but Boston loses still loses in the bottom of the ninth because of poor bullpen desicions by Terry Francona. The media claims the choice of Palin tying the game was the reason the Sox lost and would never be qualified to play in the big leagues. ESPN runs 24hr coverage on how
she cost Boston the game and bases their reports on claims from inside information from the Yankee organization .
Palin has been under the microscope since day one and the media were just looking for reasons to hammer her.
Yet another jealous woman. It’s an epidemic. I suspect Sarah’s used to it.
Do you think it’s impossible they all got the information from the same source?
And since we don’t know that source, why should it be trusted?
A very successful mayor that went on to be governor with an admirable track record at both, but she does not understand how government works?
Someone obviously is a liar.
Fantastic post!
It hits the nail directly on the head.
Glenn Beck talked about this story this morning with the guy from Redstate.com, who is starting Operation Leper: identifying those who are stabbing Palin in the back. Nicole Wallace was one of them.
