Perhaps it is the association with Republican. Many people mistakenly believe Republicans are for the rich, etc. Never mind that they are being stabbed in the back by the same Democratic Party they are blindingly loyal to and that their father's Democratic Party is long gone.
If the GOP doesn't want to pursue Conservatism, would we be better off with the Libertarians?

We got rid of our cable a year ago. We still have a TV hooked up to HDTV rabbit ears. I never thought my husband would go through with it. There was always sports on my TV. He mentioned just a few days ago that he doesn’t even miss it. It’s crazy! It took awhile but honestly, our life runs so much better without it! We NEVER watch TV. The kids watch cartoons and videos and we rent movies every once in awhile. I LOVE it!!

Well, you’ll have to do it on your own. My votes and my monies will never go to the Progressive Lite Party again. You will never be able to be certain of any who are among you, are you still listening to Rush? We have been subverted by people who think they are Republican but are really just liberals who can’t admit that they actually are. When 60% of the people in America consider themselves conservative it could be larger than the current Progressive Lite Party.

So was I, but I continue to agree with you. If every conservative understood the basic principles of economics that are explained so clearly and simply by Dr. Sowell, we could decimate any liberal who said anything (inevitably wrong) about the economy.

Fred Barnes did an on-air apology to Nicole Wallace on the Special Report panel last week when he named her as the source of the wardrobe rumor. I guess his apology was too soon.
