McCain lost because he was trying to run as a Democrat. Obama won because he was trying to run as a Conservative, at least in broad swaths. McCain couldn’t out-Democrat Obama, but Obama did out-conserverative McCain.
Why did Obama win? The ONE key and most identifiable piece of his campaign: tax cuts for almost all. Package is important, but so is message and Obama won with a superior package, but more important, a superior message - tax cuts.
No, my friend. Obama would NOT have out-Reagan’d Reagan - or a true conservative.
If McCain had stood up against the socialist sell-out, he would have won. People were looking for leadership and got 2 peas in a pod - and THAT is why packaging won. Every lemming that ran off the cliff with McCain and bolted from conservatism out of fear should be deprived of leadership.
Leadership stands up in the face of danger. Cantor, McCain, et. al: they caved.
And there was Obama, not caving on HIS beliefs, at all.
The anger in the body politic after the sell-out was palpable. People were po’d, with good reason. Either one of the candidates could have ridden that anger right into the White House. That would have been conservative principles that this nation has a history of rewarding.
But. Only Obama could have ridden the sell-out itself into the White House. McCain could never have out-socialist the true Marxist in the campaign.
well...u have a right to your opinion....but pick up “People”....it’s what the masses read...and THEY voted for the “happy” message. These people don’t like “Dad’s” that talk about taxes and SS and war and “stuff”....they LIKE (and vote for) the warm and fuzzy.
marketing....marketing....marketing.....(same reasons mean Pastors who are shrill...get fewer followers tha the ones with big smiles and big showy fun events)....
The masses just want to have fun....and not think about bad stuff.
