On the contrary, Amy, it very likely is God ordained.
And likely you're not going to like the long term consequences very much.
Exactly.
Or my personal favorite:
Matt 7:21-23
Many will say to Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?”
And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness
My brothers and sisters,
As I tell my children, God will have His way, with you or without you, because of you or in spite of you. The only choice you have in the matter is on which side of that line you stand.
We have been blessed with eleven children, some of whom are special needs. My wife is a home-schooling, stay-at-home Mom. As much of a challenge as that is, and as difficult as it is to make ends meet at times, we thank God every day for our children. I cannot imagine life without them. My tag line sums it up for me.
Thank you for this.
“My prayer was that God would not deliver our country into the hands of Obama and his ilk, but I also prayed that Gods will be done. I also knew what that could potentially mean and I trust Him, even though I have had a hard time dealing with it. This election has gone this way for a reason, for His reasons, and this is our opportunity to shine and show ourselves to be His children.
Nailed it. I have young children so I struggle with knowing the direction we’re now going, but then I settle on: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
I dwell and trust, therefore I rest.”
Amen. I have young kids too and looking at them and then picturing what our future could entail is really what breaks my heart. But I will still trust Him.
Those who profess to be Catholic or Evangelicals and voted for Obama are Catholics and Evangelicals in word only. Knowing Christ and professing Christ are two different things. Anyone who truly knows Jesus Christ could never vote for the principles that this antichrist (Obama) represents.
As a Christian Pastor, I believe God has allowed Obama to be elected President as an instrument of His judgment upon this nation. Obama will now lead this nation into captivity under the judgment of God.
This is based on exit polling, and their definition of "Catholic" is someone who says he's a Catholic.
If you remove (a) Hispanics; and (b) people who don't actually practice Catholicism (== don't attend Mass weekly), McCain won the Catholic vote by close to 10 points.
(And it stinks that it was only 10 points, but it's better than losing it.)
I haven't seen numbers yet for weekly-Mass-attending Catholics, Hispanics included.
This Catholic says: "Reverend, you just nailed it."
for later.
