Speculate on why they didn't want it? I'm not privy to that sort of info but in a nutshell I suspect we should be girding ourselves for war from one or more of three directions - the Middle East, Russia, and/or China. This may very well lead to WWIII. Tin foiling it here, but I don't think the GOP thinks it'll blow up into a WWIII but if they don't get their heads on straight they won't be able to stop it once in motion. Foreign relations, the economy, food supplies, fuel, etc.... the whole feel of things lately has been leaning in that direction. Now that Hussein has divided the nation more and will fail miserably with his promises, our enemies will see us weakened and faltering and come in for the kill.

I believe you are right. The RNC knew there was NO WAY to win this year after the GWB disaster. I don’t know if it would have been possible. But honestly, BO was the absolute worst candidate the Dems could have submitted.

I agree. Go to the freedom of information act for the F.B.I. and read about the Weather Underground. It was given that name because you do not need a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing. Obama referred to the righteous wind. They have made tremendous progress for the ultimate goal of the collapse of our imperialist system in order to replace it with a socialist system. They salivate at the opportunity of the pending chaos.

Mark Levin has been pounding this theme for months. Our liberal and so-called “moderate” friends will blow this off as though we're just paranoid, or sour grapes. A good portion of the ‘American Idol’ electorate simply has no interest in delving into these issues.

I've been thinking about this Alinsky thing. We should all become well versed in his rules. Any articles or broadcast transcripts should be checked with a RED pencil for the Alinsky tactics and sent back to the MSM with these areas marked and the notation: We are on to you!

Let the public know they are being manipulated BIG TIME.

It was no coincidence that the Obama victory celebration was held at Grant Park in Chicago, the scene of antiwar riots at the Democratic Party convention 40 years earlier. It was as symbolic as Hitler forcing the defeated French to sign an armistice in the very same rail car where the Germans surrendered in World War I. Even the odd choice of Obama and his family dressed in black and red was symbolic. Black and red are the respective colors of anarchism and Marxism. New Left and black militant banners of the 1960s used these colors.

The next few years will be very ugly. The American Spectator article is very perceptive.

These are the sorts of policies favored by the academic left, Obama's old milieu -- the policies that favor speech codes and stolen campus newspapers and the firing of faculty for "offensive" remarks.

Normally a free press would be the safeguard - but they've converted to "Baghdad Bobs" without so much as a whimper...

I refuse to believe that we as a nation would let these people roll the country over. The election was about electing a black man and defeating George Bush. They've done that, but now they have to lurch forward shackled with little or no agenda other than "change" and the lowest approval rating Congress may have yet known.

Sooner or later, they will over reach. Sooner or later allegiances within the party will fracture. How well will the Clinton people mingle with the Obama peeps? How long before someone or some country or group decides to see what they can get away with? Biden said we aren't going to like how they handle it and for once, I believe him.

At some point, just like with Bush and the republicans, a line will be crossed, the luster will be gone and no number of Chrissy Mathews tingles will change that. They are simply too fundamentally radical and there are volumes of history just waiting for public opinion to find them.
